Job summary

Aditya Birla Group is seeking an experienced legal professional in Mumbai to manage litigation, draft and review complex commercial contracts, and support end-to-end transaction documentation across diverse projects.

The role involves coordinating with business teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting trainings, and driving contract management initiatives within the CFI sector. 5–7 years of relevant experience and an LLB are required.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation: prioritize matters, liaise with counsel, pursue timely disposal with periodic updates.
• Review and draft commercial contracts; partner with business teams to identify and mitigate risks.
• Draft, review, and finalize end-to-end transaction documents (commercial, EPC, technology, renewables, land, MOUs/NDAs).
• Ensure fast turnaround through standardization and post-transaction support; assist Contract Management System in CFI sector.
• Audits: audit units, understand compliance with unit legal teams; highlight issues and follow up to closure.
• Trainings: track changes in laws, conduct workshops, update business on changes, impart trainings.
• Attend regular meetings with internal stakeholders to understand new initiatives.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Management of Litigation:
• Review and prioritize pending litigation matters during the performance year, take proactive steps for early listing, effective follow up with counsel, and pursue timely disposal or resolution of such matters, with periodic status updates to management.
• Review and drafting of commercial contracts:
• Partner closely with business teams on projects and transactions to proactively identify and mitigate risks. Provide timely, solution-oriented legal advice on transactions and business issues.
• Draft, review, and finalize end-to-end transaction documents (commercial, EPC, technology, renewables, land, MoUs/NDAs).
• Ensure strong TAT through standardization, clear timelines, and stakeholder alignment, and deliver post-transaction support to ensure seamless business continuity. Support in implementing Contract Management System in CFI sector.
• Audits :
• To audit the units, update and understand the compliances currently maintained at the business with support of the unit legal teams.
• To highlight the key issues and concerns in the units post the Audit. Ensure follow up and support towards closure of audit points.
• Trainings :
• Keep track of the changes in laws and judicial pronouncements on continuous basis.
• Conduct workshops and attend regular meetings with the internal stakeholder to understand the new business initiatives and update the business on changes in relevant laws. Impart trainings to stakeholders.
