The role requires 5–10 years in compliance or risk with RBI knowledge.

Qualifications

• CA / CS / MBA (Finance) / LLB or equivalent professional qualification.
• Certifications in Compliance, Risk Management, Regulatory Affairs or Data Privacy preferred.
• 5-10 years in Compliance, Risk Management, Legal, Internal Audit or Regulatory Advisory in Banking/FS/NBFCs.
• Experience advising corporate or support functions preferred.
• Strong knowledge of RBI regulations and banking governance

Job Description:

1. Job Purpose

To provide independent compliance advisory and oversight to Support Service functions across the Bank, ensuring adherence to applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, governance standards, and ethical business practices. The role will partner with stakeholders to identify compliance risks, provide practical regulatory guidance, and strengthen the Banks overall compliance framework while enabling business objectives.

2. Roles & Responsibilities

Compliance Advisory

• Act as a compliance partner for Support Service functions including HR, Procurement, Administration, Corporate Communications, Marketing, Technology, Information Security, Facilities, and Vendor Management.
• Provide regulatory and compliance advice on new initiatives, projects, processes, policies, and business decisions.
• Interpret and assess the applicability of regulatory guidelines, laws, and internal policies.
• Review internal policies, SOPs, and governance documents from a compliance perspective.

Compliance Risk Management

• Identify, assess, and monitor compliance risks arising from support functions.
• Conduct compliance impact assessments for new processes and change management initiatives.
• Recommend controls and mitigation measures to address identified compliance risks.

Monitoring & Governance

• Support compliance testing, thematic reviews, monitoring activities, and control assessments.
• Track and ensure timely closure of compliance observations, audit findings, and regulatory issues.
• Assist in the implementation and communication of regulatory changes across relevant stakeholders.

Awareness & Stakeholder Management

• Conduct compliance awareness sessions and training programmes for support function employees.
• Foster a strong culture of compliance and ethical conduct across the organisation.
• Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Internal Audit, Information Security, and Business teams to resolve compliance matters.

3. Prerequisites

Educational Qualification

• CA / CS / MBA (Finance) / LLB or equivalent professional qualification.
• Additional certifications in Compliance, Risk Management, Regulatory Affairs, or Data Privacy will be preferred.

Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in Compliance, Risk Management, Legal, Internal Audit, or Regulatory Advisory within Banking, Financial Services, NBFCs, or Consulting.
• Experience in providing advisory support to corporate or support service functions will be preferred.
• Good understanding of RBI regulations, banking governance frameworks, outsourcing guidelines, and conduct risk principles.
