Job summary

AHEAD is seeking a proactive Team Lead for SaaS Applications to manage a team of Salesforce Administrators and optimize our Salesforce environment. You will lead delivery, governance, and stakeholder alignment, ensuring scalable, secure configurations and reliable quote-to-cash processes.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of Salesforce experience, proven leadership, and strong communication in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience including senior-level responsibility for Sales Cloud, CPQ, and Billing.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring Salesforce Administrators; small team supervision preferred.
  • Strong people leadership, coaching, delegation, and performance feedback skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work across a team and communicate delivery status clearly.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data models, security, and automation tools.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification required; Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder preferred.
  • Experience in Agile/SCRUM environments with JIRA.
  • Exposure to quote-to-cash, billing, or financial process automation.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, Power BI, and Certinia would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of Salesforce Administrators with regular one-on-one meetings and career development.
  • Set team priorities, assign work, balance capacity, and ensure timely delivery with quality.
  • Provide technical and functional guidance, promote standards and best practices.
  • Serve as first point of escalation for team and operational issues; communicate risks and status.
  • Administer Salesforce environments: user setup, roles, profiles, permissions, security.
  • Configure and customize Salesforce objects, fields, layouts, validation rules, and automation.
  • Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate into scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Support CPQ and Billing configurations for accurate quote-to-cash processes.
  • Lead or support integrations with other enterprise systems via middleware (e.g., MuleSoft).
  • Monitor performance, conduct audits, and optimize for usability and security.
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards for decision-making and visibility.
  • Document configurations and processes; ensure knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct training sessions for end users and admins; stay current with Salesforce releases.

We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Team Lead, SaaS Applications to manage and optimize our Salesforce environment while leading a team of Salesforce Administrators. The ideal candidate will combine deep experience in Salesforce configuration, automation, user support, and data management with strong people leadership, delivery management, and stakeholder communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of Salesforce Administrators, including regular one-on-one meetings, goal setting, performance feedback, career development, and support for day-to-day execution.
  • Set team priorities, assign work, balance capacity, remove blockers, and ensure commitments are delivered with appropriate quality and timeliness.
  • Provide technical and functional guidance to the team, review proposed solutions and configurations, and promote consistent standards, documentation, and Salesforce best practices.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for team members and operational issues, coordinating resolution and communicating risks, dependencies, and status to SaaS Applications leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Administer and maintain Salesforce environments, including user setup, roles, profiles, permission sets, and security settings.
  • Configure and customize Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, and automation tools (Flows, Process Builder).
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into actionable work for the team, and implement scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Support CPQ and Billing configurations, ensuring accurate quote-to-cash processes.
  • Lead or support integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems using middleware tools (e.g., MuleSoft).
  • Monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and implement optimizations for usability and security.
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards to support business decision-making and team visibility.
  • Ensure system configurations, operating processes, decisions, and best practices are documented and maintained by the team.
  • Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions for end users, internal teams, and Salesforce Administrators.
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases, assess their impact, and recommend platform enhancements.
Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience, including senior-level responsibility for Sales Cloud, CPQ, and Billing.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, managing, or formally mentoring Salesforce Administrators; experience supervising a small team is preferred.
  • Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, delegation, performance feedback, conflict resolution, and team development.
  • Ability to prioritize work across a team, manage competing demands, and communicate delivery status, risks, and dependencies clearly.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data models, security, and automation tools.
  • Experience with integration tools and patterns for connecting Salesforce with other systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification required; Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder preferred.
  • Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments with JIRA.
  • Familiarity with quote-to-cash, billing, or financial process automation.
  • Exposure to Snowflake, Power BI, and Certinia would be a plus.
Preferred Skills
  • Working knowledge of AI-assisted tools and workflows (e.g., generative AI assistants, AI-powered coding/testing tools, or agentic AI platforms) relevant to the role's core function.
  • Ability to apply effective prompting techniques to accelerate research, documentation, coding, or analysis tasks.
  • Comfortable learning and adopting new AI-enabled tools as part of day-to-day work, with a willingness to continuously build AI fluency.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, including data privacy, security, and verification of AI-generated outputs before acting on them.
