Job summary

City Union Bank is seeking a senior information & cyber security professional to lead data privacy and compliance initiatives at Chennai. You will drive DPDP Act 2023 compliance across applications, departments, and third-party providers, ensuring data protection and privacy controls are implemented and maintained.

The role requires 10+ years in information & cyber security, with deep knowledge of data privacy, data protection, encryption, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in CS with Information & Cyber Security.
• 10+ years of experience in information & cyber security, application management, data privacy and data protection.
• Knowledge of data privacy concepts, DPDP Act 2023 and security frameworks.
• Ability to lead data privacy projects at Chennai location.
• Strong documentation and process-mapping skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the data privacy and compliance project at the specified location.
• Ensure periodic regulatory compliance with DPDP Act 2023.
• Coordinate with audits on data privacy aspects.
• Carry out periodic Data Privacy Impact Assessments across apps, departments and third-party service providers.

Qualification:

Bachelor degree / BE., / B.Tech., in Computer Science with Information & Cyber Security.

Experience:

10 + years experience in Information & Cyber Security, Application Management, Data Privacy, Data Protection, Encryption, etc.

Skills:

• Knowledge on application system workflow and data flow
• Practical knowledge on data Privacy, DPDPA wotj understanding of Information Security Framework
• Knowledge on application architecture more particularly on data flow
• Strong documentation, process mapping and IT system familiarity
• Consent Management - Implement and manage
• Privacy Notice Implement and manage
• Privacy Impact Assessment Implement, Review and assess across the applications
• Privacy Impact Assessment Implement, Review and assess across the functional departments
• Privacy Impact Assessment Implement, Review and assess across the third party service providers

Roles and Responsibilities:

• The selected candidate has to work at the said location and lead the project on Data Privacy and Compliance with DPDP Act 2023.
• He / She is responsible for periodic compliance in line with regulatory requirement on data privacy.
• He / She is responsible to co-ordinate with audit system on various aspects relating to Data Privacy
• He / She is responsible to carry out periodic Data Privacy Impact assessment on the applications, departments and third party service providers
