Responsibilities

• Manage Direct Tax compliance, tax returns, assessments, audits, and statutory filings.
• Ensure GST compliance, return filings, reconciliations, and input tax credit management.
• Oversee TDS deductions, payments, filings, reconciliations, and compliance requirements.
• Support tax accounting, tax provisioning, and ledger reconciliations.
• Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the taxation team.

Role Overview

The Team Lead / Assistant Manager - Taxation will be responsible for managing day-to-day direct and indirect tax activities, ensuring statutory compliance, tax accounting, reconciliations, audits, assessments, and stakeholder coordination. The role will also provide tax advisory support to the business while leading and developing the taxation team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Direct Tax compliance, tax returns, assessments, audits, and statutory filings
• Ensure timely and accurate GST compliance, return filings, reconciliations, and input tax credit management
• Oversee TDS deductions, payments, filings, reconciliations, and compliance requirements
• Support tax accounting, tax provisioning, and ledger reconciliations
• Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities
• Manage tax notices, assessments, appeals, and litigation-related matters
• Provide tax advisory support on contracts, vendor arrangements, and business transactions
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operations
• Lead, mentor, and develop the taxation team while ensuring timely delivery of compliance obligations

Desired Profile

• MBA Finance / M.Com / B.Com with relevant taxation experience
• 8+ years of experience in Direct and Indirect Taxation
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, Tax Audits, and Assessments
• Experience with ERP systems and tax compliance platforms preferred
• Proven stakeholder management and team leadership capabilities
