Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Pune seeks a GenAI Developer to build LLM-powered applications and agentic workflows (RAG, tool calling) that securely integrate with enterprise data and systems.

The role requires 5–10 years of experience, strong Python and/or .NET/JavaScript, knowledge of LangChain/Semantic Kernel/LlamaIndex, REST APIs, embeddings, and a disciplined SDLC with Git, CI/CD and Agile delivery. Pune-based, on-site.

Qualifications

• Build LLM-powered applications and agentic workflows (RAG, tool/function-calling, evaluation/guardrails).
• Strong programming in Python and/or .NET/JavaScript; clean code, debugging, and performance.
• Experience with REST APIs, OAuth2, JSON, webhooks; basic cloud services usage.
• SDLC: Git, code reviews, CI/CD basics, Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop GenAI features: prompts, tool/function calling, agents, and workflow orchestration (plan act verify).
• Build RAG pipelines: chunking, embeddings, retrieval, grounding, and citation-ready responses.
• Integrate with APIs and data sources (REST/GraphQL, databases, files, SharePoint/ServiceNow, Databricks, etc.).
• Implement evaluation, safety and quality controls: tests, red-teaming, hallucination handling, and prompt/version management.
• Collaborate with product/SMEs to convert use-cases to user stories; document design and support releases.

Job Role

In this role the GenAI Developer will build LLM-powered applications and agentic workflows (RAG, tool/function-calling, evaluation/guardrails) that integrate with enterprise systems and data securely and reliably.

Skills

Strong programming in Python and/or .NET/JavaScript; clean code, debugging, and performance

• GenAI fundamentals: LLMs (Gemini / Open AI), prompting, RAG, embeddings, context windows, token/cost awareness
• Integration: REST APIs, OAuth2, JSON, webhooks; basic cloud services usage
• Data/security: PII handling, secrets management, logging, and access controls
• SDLC: Git, code reviews, CI/CD basics, Agile delivery

Frameworks: LangChain / Semantic Kernel / LlamaIndex; vector stores (Azure AI Search, Pinecone, FAISS, etc.)

• Observability: tracing, prompt/version control, latency & cost monitoring
• Experience building UI/chat experiences and deploying containerized services
