Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited is seeking an experienced ETL/Data Integration specialist with 7+ years of hands-on experience in Informatica IICS/IDMC CDI. The role focuses on designing mappings, tasks, and configurations, and migrating PowerCenter workflows to CDI while ensuring performance and reliability.

The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, experience with REST/JSON/XML data sources, and implementation of CI/CD practices with Git and Secure Agent administration.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop ETL/ELT solutions for full/incremental processing with CDC and SCD.
• Configure Secure Agents, connections, schedules, and recovery processes.
• Write advanced SQL and reconciliation queries for data movement.

Job Requirement

• 7+ years of ETL/data-integration experience with strong hands-on development in Informatica IICS/IDMC Cloud Data Integration (CDI).
• Proven experience developing mappings, mapping tasks, reusable transformations, parameters, parameter files and runtime configurations.
• Hands-on experience assessing and migrating Informatica PowerCenter workflows, mappings and sessions to IICS/IDMC, including conversion remediation and validation.
• Strong ETL/ELT design expertise covering incremental loads, change data capture (CDC), slowly changing dimensions (SCD), complex transformations, restartability and idempotency.
• Experience designing taskflows with dependencies, scheduling, parameterization, exception handling and recovery, plus Secure Agent installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL proficiency including complex joins, analytical functions, stored procedures, data reconciliation and query tuning.
• Experience integrating relational databases, flat files, cloud data warehouses, REST APIs, JSON and XML sources and targets.
• Strong knowledge of performance optimization using pushdown optimization, partitioning, session and mapping logs, bottleneck analysis and root-cause analysis.
• Practical experience in testing, deployment, production monitoring, reruns, incident resolution, Git-based version control and CI/CD-driven asset promotion.
• Knowledge of access control, secrets handling, governance and audit requirements, with strong review, mentoring, communication and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimize IICS/IDMC CDI mappings, mapping tasks, transformations, parameters, taskflows and runtime configurations.
• Assess PowerCenter repositories and workflows; plan and execute conversion, remediation, taskflow recreation, testing and migration validation.
• Develop robust ETL/ELT solutions for full and incremental processing, CDC, SCD, complex transformations, restartability and idempotent reruns.
• Configure and troubleshoot Secure Agents, connections, schedules, dependencies, error handling and operational recovery processes.
• Write and tune advanced SQL, stored procedures and reconciliation queries to ensure accurate and performant data movement.
• Integrate databases, files, cloud warehouses, APIs, JSON and XML while applying reusable design and enterprise data-quality standards.
• Analyze logs, identify bottlenecks, apply pushdown and partitioning strategies, resolve production issues and complete root-cause analysis.
• Create test cases, perform source-to-target validation and reconciliation, support deployments, monitor jobs and resolve incidents within delivery commitments.
