Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Chennai, Tamil Nadu seeks a skilled Data Engineering Specialist to design and implement enterprise-level data solutions on Snowflake. You will build and optimize data pipelines, implement IAM features, and ensure secure, scalable data access across the organization.

You will migrate on-prem data to Snowflake, optimize performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust data models using SQL, Python, and cloud services such as AWS S3.

Qualifications

• Must have migration experience to Snowflake and AWS S3.
• Strong SQL, data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
• Hands-on Snowflake, including roles, databases, schemas.
• Experience with ETL/ELT in cloud data platforms.
• Familiarity with data ingestion from diverse sources.

Responsibilities

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Create, test, and implement enterprise-level apps with Snowflake
• Design and implement features for identity and access management
• Create authorization frameworks for better access control
• Migration of Data from ON prem DB like Oracl,DB2 to Snowflake
• Implement novel query optimization, major security competencies with encryption
• Solve performance issues and scalability issues in the system
• Transaction management with distributed data processing algorithms
• Possess ownership right from start to finish
• Build, monitor, and optimize ETL and ELT processes with data models
• Migrate solutions from on-premises setup to cloud-based platforms

Preferred candidate profile

Must-Have

• Knowledge of SQL language and cloud-based technologies
• Data warehousing concepts, data modelling, metadata management
• Data lakes, multi-dimensional models, data dictionaries
• Migration to AWS Snowflake platform and Knowledge in S3 buckets
• Performance tuning and setting up resource monitors
• Snowflake modelling roles, databases, schemas (Hands on must)
• SQL performance measuring, query tuning, and database tuning
• ETL tools with cloud-driven skills
• Integration with third-party tools
• Ability to build analytical solutions and models
• Coding in languages Python,
• Root cause analysis of models with solutions
• Hadoop, Spark, and other warehousing tools
• Managing sets of XML, JSON, and CSV from disparate sources
• SQL-based databases like Oracle SQL Server, Teradata, etc.
