The consultant will coordinate with SAP, application, integration, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth service delivery and security compliance across cloud and on‑premise components.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years of overall SAP Basis experience.
• Proven experience as SAP Basis Lead or Senior SAP Basis Consultant.
• Hands-on experience supporting an SAP RISE landscape from the customer side.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Basis administration and SAP HANA operations.
• Experience coordinating Basis and infrastructure activities with SAP Enterprise Cloud Services or SAP RISE operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day SAP Basis activities for the SAP RISE landscape from the customer side.

Job Description

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in SAPBasis operations, SAP RISE service management, landscape monitoring, incidentresolution, SAP BTP administration, SAP Cloud Connector, and monitoring ofintegrations involving SAP Ariba and other cloud applications.

The consultant will act as the primary technical coordinatorbetween the internal SAP team, application teams, integration teams,infrastructure/security teams, SAP Enterprise Cloud Services, and SAP ProductSupport.

Key Responsibilities

SAP RISE Operations and Coordination

• Manageday-to-day SAP Basis activities for the SAP RISE landscape from thecustomer side.
  
• Actas the primary technical contact for SAP RISE operational andBasis-related matters.
  
• Raise,monitor, and follow up on incidents, service requests, and change requestswith SAP through the relevant SAP support and service channels.
  
• CoordinateSAP-managed activities such as system maintenance, patching, upgrades,kernel updates, database activities, certificate renewals, andinfrastructure changes.
  
• ReviewSAP-provided maintenance plans, technical recommendations, outagenotifications, and service reports.
  
• Coordinateplanned downtime and technical changes with business, functional,integration, and infrastructure teams.
  
• TrackSAP support cases through to closure and ensure timely escalation ofcritical issues.
  
• Clearlydistinguish between customer-managed activities and SAP-managedresponsibilities within the RISE operating model.
  

SAP Landscape Monitoring

• Performproactive monitoring of SAP S/4HANA and the associated SAP landscape.
  
• Monitorsystem availability, application servers, background jobs, interfaces,dumps, system logs, work processes, spool, update failures, RFCconnections, and system performance.
  
• MonitorHANA database health, resource utilization, alerts, backup status,capacity, and performance in coordination with SAP RISE operations.
  
• ReviewEarlyWatch Alert reports and coordinate corrective actions with therelevant teams.
  
• Monitorproduction and non-production environments and provide daily or periodichealth-check reports.
  
• Investigaterecurring alerts, identify root causes, and recommend preventive actions.
  
• Supportavailability, performance, capacity, and operational risk management.
  

Security, Connectivity, and Certificates

• MonitorSAP-related certificates and ensure proactive renewal before expiry.
  
• SupportSSL/TLS, PSE, STRUST, SSO, SNC, OAuth, SAML, and connectivity-relatedconfigurations.
  
• Coordinatewith cybersecurity and network teams for firewall, DNS, proxy, IP allow listing, port, and routing requirements.
  
• SupportSAP user administration and role-related technical troubleshooting incoordination with the SAP Security team.
  
• Reviewtechnical users, RFC users, communication users, and integrationcredentials for validity and expiry.
  
• Ensuretechnical changes follow security, audit, and compliance requirements.
