Job summary

Thompsons HR Consulting Pvt Ltd in Bangalore is hiring a TAX Specialist to support the tax team with SAP data extraction, validation, and tax report preparation. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, preparing reports for external advisors, and ensuring compliance across assigned countries. CA Inter/Finalist advantage is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate, preferably in Commerce / Finance / Accounting.
• CA Inter / CA Finalist will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in SAP data extraction / finance operations / accounting support.
• Tax knowledge will be an added advantage but is not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Extract required reports and data from SAP for assigned countries.
• Perform basic completeness and accuracy checks on the extracted data.
• Review and vouch invoices/transactions in SAP against the extracted data.
• Prepare tax reports in the prescribed templates and share the same with external tax advisors.
• Support the tax team with reconciliations and other routine tax activities.
• Follow up with relevant internal teams for missing or incorrect data, as required.

Key Requirement

• Basic experience working with SAP/ERP systems and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to extract and validate financial data accurately.
• Basic understanding of accounting processes and financial transactions.
• Tax knowledge will be an added advantage but is not mandatory.

Educational Qualification

• Graduate, preferably in Commerce / Finance / Accounting.
• CA Inter / CA Finalist will be an added advantage.

Working Experience

• Minimum 1 2 years of experience in SAP data extraction / finance operations / accounting support.
• Prior experience in a tax function will be preferred but is not mandatory.
