Manager-Level (8–10 years)

Overview

The Tax Manager leads the India-based tax delivery team and serves as a senior point of accountability for the quality, scope, and economics of U.S. tax engagements. This role goes beyond technical oversight—it demands strong client relationship management, end-to-end engagement ownership, and the ability to build a transparent, high-performing team. • Manage end-to-end client engagement deliverables, including work scoping, staffing, timelines, and engagement economics.
  • Read, interpret, and apply current tax legislation to ensure filing positions reflect the most accurate and up-to-date understanding of applicable law.
Client Relationship

  • Serve as a senior escalation point for client queries, ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
  • Articulate and support the strategies of the U.S. business tax compliance to the stakeholders.
Leadership & People Management

  • Effectively delegate work across all levels of staff, matching tasks to skill sets and development goals.
  • Build and maintain a team with a diversified skill set, proactively identifying gaps and creating cross-skilling opportunities.
  • Maintain an ongoing educational program to continually develop the technical and professional capabilities of the team.
Standards & Compliance
  • Set and enforce quality standards across all engagement deliverables, ensuring consistent adherence to practice protocols and internal processes.
  • Oversee e-file validation and resolution of complex diagnostics, maintaining a high bar for accuracy prior to submission.
  • Ensure strict compliance with information security protocols and data protection guidelines across all client interactions.
Hiring & Organizational Growth
  • Support recruitment activity by participating in interview processes and helping assess candidates for fit, technical strength, and growth potential.
  • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives and cross-functional projects that advance the operational and strategic objectives of Elevate’s partner firms.
Skills Required
