Job summary

Genpact Hyderabad invites an ambitious tax professional to join our Indian tax team. You will support GST returns, direct tax filings, and documentation, ensuring compliance and timely reporting.

You will collaborate with internal finance, auditors, and external advisers, leveraging SAP and Excel to prepare schedules and tax provisions while staying current on Indian tax laws. This role emphasizes accuracy, deadlines, and proactive tax planning within a global tech-services environment.

Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com / CMA/ CA Inter or equivalent with Indian taxation knowledge.
• Experience with GST and corporate tax concepts.
• Working knowledge of SAP and Excel for tax data and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support GST returns and reconciliations (2A/2B vs books).
• Assist in direct tax filings and tax workings.
• Support tax provision data and schedules.

Key Qualifications :-

• B.Com / M.Com / CMA/ CA Inter
• Experience in Indian taxation
• Knowledge of GST & corporate tax
• Working knowledge of SAP / Excel

Core Responsibilities :-

• Prepare and support GST returns and reconciliations (2A/2B vs books)
• Assist in direct tax filings and tax workings
• Support tax provision data and schedules
• Maintain tax documentation and audit trails
• Handle routine queries, notices, and data requests

Stakeholder Interaction :-

• Work with internal finance teams and supervisors
• Support coordination with auditors and consultants
• Follow defined SLAs and compliance timelines

Responsibilities :-

• Prepare, review, and file direct tax returns accurately and within statutory deadlines. Analyze and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure full compliance across all applicable jurisdictions.
• Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to optimize the company\u2019s tax position and minimize liabilities. Liaise and coordinate with external advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities on tax matters and audits.
• Provide timely guidance and support to internal stakeholders on complex tax issues and compliance requirements.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes in direct taxation, assessing their potential impact and recommending proactive actions.
• Maintain thorough documentation of tax processes, policies, and compliance activities to support audits and internal reviews.
