Job summary

Emerson in Pune, India, is seeking a procurement professional to manage requisition-to-PO conversions and supplier performance. You will coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and data accuracy in ERP systems.

You will analyze procurement data, support inventory decisions, and contribute to cost and service improvements while aligning with global stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, sourcing, manufacturing, or related operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into actions.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Convertpurchaserequisitionsintopurchaseordersandmanageopenpurchaseorderreports.
• Partnerwithsupplierstoobtainpurchaseorderacknowledgements,deliveryconfirmations,andorderstatusupdates.
• Maintainaccurateconfirmationanddeliverydateswithinenterpriseresourceplanning(ERP)systems.
• Respondtopurchaseorderandmaterial-relatedinquiriesfrommanufacturingplantsandinternalstakeholders.
• Monitorsupplyanddemandrequirementsandsupportinventoryreplenishmentdecisions.
• Reviewandprocesssystem-generatedplanningexceptionssuchasexpedite,defer,orrescheduleactions.
• Coordinatewithsupplierstomaintainaccuratepromisedatesandorderconfirmations.
• Collaboratewithglobalstakeholders,includingCategoryManagers,ProductionandInventoryControlteams,andValueStreamleaderstosupportmaterialavailability.
• Supportsupplierrelationshipmanagementinitiativesandworkwithsupplierperformanceandcategorymanagementteamstoimprovesupplierdelivery,responsiveness,quality,andservicelevels.
• Partnerwithfinanceteamstohelpfacilitatetimelysupplierpaymentresolution.
• CompletematerialmastersetupactivitiesandmaintaindataaccuracywithinERPsystems.
• Managerequisition-to-purchaseorderconversionactivitiesformaintenance,repair,andoperations(MRO)purchases.
• Validatesupplierleadtimesandensurealignmentwithoperationalrequirements.
• Supportmaterialmasterdataauditsandcontinuousimprovementinitiatives.
• Communicateactions,resolutions,andupdateseffectivelywithplantandsitebuyers.
• Assistinpreparingmonthly,quarterly,andannualreportsrelatedtosupplierandoperationalperformance.
• Escalatesupplierdeliverychallengestosupplychainandplanningleadershipasappropriate.
• Monitorandhelpresolveparkedorblockedinvoicediscrepanciesinatimelymanner.
• Supportsuppliernegotiationsrelatedtocost,delivery,andinventoryobjectiveswhilemaintainingstrongsupplierpartnerships.
• Contributetoprocessimprovementinitiativesthatenhanceprocuremenefficiency,supplierperformance,andbusinessresults.

• Strongorganizationalskillsandtheabilitytomanagemultipleprioritieseffectively.
