- Provide Protection & Control engineering for SAS and conventional electrical substation projects according to customer specifications and internal standards
- Plan and execute basic and detailed designs for automation and protection applications involving switchyard and generator circuits
- Prepare technical designs, engineering calculations, drawings, manufacturing instructions, database configuration inputs, and bills of materials
- Check and validate design documents and select IEDs and other components
- Coordinate with stakeholders and testing teams for internal validation and factory acceptance testing
- Address customer observations and comments and ensure compliance with international codes and standards
- Prepare as-manufactured and as-built documentation
- Participate in project reviews, follow-up meetings, technical meetings, and deliverable submission planning
- Manage design time, identify and mitigate delivery issues, and ensure on-time quality deliverables
- Support project strategy, risk management, scope-change tracking, and deviation mitigation
- Comply with quality procedures, work instructions, processes, and GE drafting standards
- Issue technical specifications and basic documents for material procurement
- Coordinate and review relevant supplier technical offers
- Share return of experience and knowledge capitalization and implement applicable lessons during design
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering
- 2 to 5 years in B.E. / B.Tech. (Electrical) or (Electrical & Electronics)
- Knowledge of power systems and primary equipment
- Knowledge of substation automation and communication protocols
- Product knowledge of protection IEDs
- Knowledge of protection philosophy and concepts
- Knowledge of trip and interlock logics
- Knowledge of cubicle manufacturing
- Knowledge of engineering calculations and design tools
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work with international interlocutors
- Ability to adapt to other countries' standards
