Job summary

DAZN is seeking an experienced iOS Systems Analyst to build and optimize SwiftUI-based interfaces for iOS and tvOS. This contractor role focuses on frontend/UI development, delivering pixel-perfect, scalable apps across devices.

You will work closely with product, design, and backend teams, ensure high quality deliverables, and contribute to performance and accessibility. Strong SwiftUI skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of iOS frontend/UI development experience.
• Proven delivery of iOS and tvOS apps using SwiftUI in production.
• Strong knowledge of MVVM and Combine patterns.
• Experience with REST/GraphQL API integration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and release processes.

Description

Role Summary: We are looking for an experienced iOS Systems Analyst with strong expertise in building high-quality, SwiftUI-based applications for iOS Mobile and Apple TV (tvOS) platforms.

This role focuses primarily on frontend development using SwiftUI and modern iOS frameworks. While hands-on experience with video streaming technologies (e.g., HLS, AVFoundation) is desirable, it is considered a plus rather than a core requirement.

As a contractor, you are expected to be hands-on, delivery-focused, and able to work independently to deliver pixel-perfect, performant, and scalable apps.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Development

• Architect, build, and maintain modern, SwiftUI-driven user interfaces for iOS and tvOS.
• Deliver responsive, intuitive, and visually polished experiences across devices.
• Write clean, modular, and testable Swift code aligned with best practices.

Collaboration

• Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate designs and requirements into functional UI.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure high-quality, bug-free deliverables.

Performance & Optimization

• Ensure smooth navigation, fast rendering, and efficient resource usage in apps.
• Implement accessibility, localization, and platform-specific design guidelines

Release & Documentation

• Support release planning and deployment cycles.
• Document UI components and workflows for team knowledge-sharing.

(Optional) Video Streaming

• Exposure to streaming tech such as HLS, DRM, and A Foundation is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic playback/UI-related streaming issues if required.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Experience

• 3 to 5 years in iOS development with a strong focus on frontend/UI development.
• Proven delivery of iOS and tvOS apps using SwiftUI in production.

Technical Skills

• Expert in Swift and SwiftUI (UIKit experience is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of UI architecture patterns (MVVM, Combine, etc.).
• Proficiency in REST/GraphQL API integration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release processes.
• (Optional) Understanding of AVFoundation, HLS, DRM, and video playback optimization.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork in distributed/remote setups.
• Strong attention to detail with a design-first mindset.
• Ability to work independently and deliver within deadlines.

Bonus Points

• Apple TV/tvOS development experience.
• Familiarity with analytics SDKs, accessibility standards, and localization.
