Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation in Pune, India, is seeking an experienced leader to head the Software Power Profiling team responsible for power measurement, targets, and lab infrastructure across RTX Spark, DGX Spark, and data-center platforms.

You will mentor engineers across Pune and Bangalore, own the lab and measurement framework, drive cross‑company engagement with OEMs, and ensure high‑quality data to support product releases and power optimization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall industry experience in power/ hardware domains.
• 5+ years of engineering management experience delivering complex software and infrastructure across distributed teams.
• Deep background in power systems, computer architecture, and SoC/platform power with hands‑on measurement experience.
• Experience running or supporting a hardware measurement lab including instrumentation and fleet management.
• Proven ability to engage across the full program lifecycle from pre-silicon to post-commercialization sustainment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across engineering, PM, partner labs, OEMs, and executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and mentor a cross-site power and infrastructure engineering team across Pune and Bangalore with clear roadmaps and ownership.
• Drive power profiling authority across the full product lifecycle including pre-silicon, targets, regression monitoring, and power/perf validation.
• Own the physical lab: temperature-controlled measurement labs, DUT fleet management, procurement, instrumentation, and cross-geo capacity planning.
• Shape measurability from pre-silicon through production by driving telemetry, sensors, boards, and DAQ design; manage prerequisites and guard bands.
• Close power gaps and own release readiness by coordinating with software/hardware owners and driving experiments and recovery validation.
• Lead cross-company power engagement, align methodologies with OEMs, and support joint root-cause analysis and shared tooling.
• Own infrastructure portfolio and energy compliance, delivering in-house power profiling framework, dashboards, and automation.

Inside NVIDIA, the Software Power Profiling team is the power measurement authority for our most strategic platforms — RTX Spark, DGX Spark, discrete GPU desktop and notebook, and data center. The team measures power and performance-per-watt, qualifies power targets, co-engineers battery life with OEMs, runs nightly regression farms across the device fleet, and builds the profiling infrastructure — frameworks, analytics dashboards, and automated regression farms — that the rest of NVIDIA relies on to understand and optimize power.

What you'll be doing

• Lead, grow, and mentor a cross-site team of power and infrastructure engineers across Pune and Bangalore — setting individual and team roadmaps, development plans, and clear ownership across all mandates.
• Drive the team's power profiling authority across the full product lifecycle: pre-silicon power engagement, power target qualification, regression monitoring, battery-life validation, and external software release qualification — including nightly development-branch and release-branch power and perf/watt monitoring across discrete GPU and data-center platforms.
• Own the physical lab — run a temperature-controlled, instrumented measurement lab across two sites, covering DUT fleet management, board procurement, intake and logistics, board instrumentation and rework, DAQ and power-path integrity, rack build-out, and cross-geo capacity planning.
• Shape measurability from pre-silicon through production — engage pre-silicon to challenge power modelling assumptions and establish measurement confidence levels; drive instrumented boards, rail maps, on-board sensors, and DAQ adapter design; specify, track, and elevate measurement prerequisites (telemetry, software build, validation, and agreed power targets with guard band policy), holding the requirement and escalating when it slips.
• Close power gaps and own release readiness — quantify and attribute power gaps to rail, IP, feature, and residency; drive debug and optimization alongside software and hardware power owners through experiments and recovery confirmation; deliver the power verdict that feeds program go/no-go decisions, backed by qualification data on every external software drop.
• Lead cross-company power engagement — converge measurement methodology and tooling with OEMs and software power owners; co-engineer shared battery-life targets, conduct joint root-cause analysis where measurements diverge, and maintain a common bug-and-analysis stream.
• Own the team's infrastructure portfolio and energy compliance — drive the in-house power profiling framework, power analytics dashboard, and automated power regression farm as production-grade shared assets; deliver energy-regulation compliance evidence (idle, standby, and off-mode power) required to clear product release gates.

What we need to see

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 8+ years of overall industry experience.
• 5+ years of engineering management experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex software and infrastructure at velocity across distributed teams.
• Deep background in power systems, computer architecture, and SoC/platform power — with hands‑on experience in power measurement, analysis, or power‑stack debugging.
• Experience running or closely supporting a hardware measurement lab — instrumentation, device fleet, and the logistics that keep it productive.
• Demonstrated ability to engage across the full program lifecycle — from pre-silicon power modeling through bring‑up, qualification, and post-commercialization sustaining.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to operate across engineering teams, program management, partner labs, OEM customers, and executive stakeholders.
• Commitment to measurement quality and the defensibility of data that drives product decisions.

Ways to stand out from the crowd

• Hands‑on power profiling experience — DAQ‑based external rail capture, on‑board sensor validation, or telemetry‑driven regression root cause.
• Intimate knowledge of Windows on Arm or client SoC platforms — battery‑life scenario methodology, Modern Standby measurement, or energy‑efficiency regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading silicon bring‑up power profiling — firmware sensor validation, first‑power baselines, and bring‑up‑phase engagement with hardware teams.
• Track record of building or leading power regression infrastructure or automated test/analysis pipelines at scale.
• Experience with AI/agentic workflow development applied to lab automation, failure triage, or report generation.
• Prior cross‑company lab convergence work — aligning methodology, build synchronization, and shared tooling between two or more power or validation labs.
