Job summary

Siemens is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design RMU control circuits with interfaces to RTUs, HMIs and IEDs. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, generate stage drawings, and manage changes to ensure on-time delivery of equipment.

Candidate should have 2-3 years in MV switchgear engineering, BE Electrical, and strong skills in SLDs, wiring diagrams, BOM and design tools like AutoCAD/EPLAN. Travel to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• BE Electrical Engineering from a reputed institution in a full-time course.
• 2-3 years of experience in MV switchgear engineering.
• Knowledge of SLDs, wiring diagrams, interconnection diagrams, and BOM.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar tools.
• Ability to size and select CTs, PTs, protection relays, busbars and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Draw control circuits for RMU including RTUs, HMIs, and IEDs.
• Submit stage drawings within defined timelines.
• Coordinate with mechanical design team and vendors for equipment offers.
• Issue change management for applicable orders.
• Create part numbers, change notes, compliance reports, and GTP for equipment.
• Participate in customer meetings for drawing approvals.
• Travel to customer offices for drawing approvals as required.

Role & Responsibility:

• To draw Control circuit for RMU including Communications interfaces RTUs, HMIs, and IEDs.
• To submit various stage drawing submission within defined timeline.
• To co ordinate with cross functional team for mechanical design finalisation, coordinate with vendors for equipment offers
• Issue Change management in time for applicable orders.
• To create part number , change notes, Compliance reports, GTP for various equipment .
• To participate in customer meetings for drawing approval, kick off meetings etc.
• Travelling is involved at customer offices for drawing approvals if required .

Candidate Profile :

• Candidate must have 2-3 years of experience in Engineering of MV switchgear.
• Candidate must have BE Electrical from reputed institution/ University in full time course.
• Candidate should know SLDs, wiring diagrams, interconnection diagrams, and bill of materials (BOM),Nx tools+ .
• Candidate should be able to Select and size CTs, PTs, protection relays, busbars, and associated equipment.
• Candidate should be capable to Review customer specifications and ensure compliance with applicable standards also competent enough to develop protection and control schemes for RMU switchgear in 11Kv and 33Kv system.
• Support quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar engineering tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
