Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Swimming Teacher/Coach.
• Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and water-safety practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with school students or children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct swimming lessons for students across age groups and skill levels.

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct swimming classes for students across different age groups and skill levels.
• Teach basic to advanced swimming techniques, strokes, breathing, and water safety.
• Ensure strict pool safety and active supervision during all sessions.
• Plan and conduct structured swimming training sessions.
• Assess students' swimming abilities and track their progress.
• Maintain attendance, performance, and student progress records.
• Identify and train talented students for inter-school and competitive swimming events.
• Prepare students for competitions, sports days, and school swimming events.
• Ensure proper use, handling, and maintenance of swimming equipment.
• Coordinate with the Sports Department and school management regarding training schedules and events.
• Communicate professionally with students, teachers, and parents regarding student progress.
• Promote discipline, teamwork, fitness, and sportsmanship among students.
• Follow all school policies, safeguarding guidelines, and emergency/safety procedures. These responsibilities are consistent with common school swimming-coach requirements around instruction, safety, progress tracking, equipment, and competitions

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Swimming Teacher/Coach.
• Relevant Swimming Coaching certification/diploma from a recognized sports authority is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and water-safety practices.
• BPED/MPED or relevant sports qualification will be an added advantage.
• CPR/First Aid or lifesaving certification is preferred.
• Experience working with school students or children is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle students of different age groups and skill levels.
