Job summary

Harmonic, the worldwide leader in virtualized broadband solutions, is seeking a SW QA Engineer in Bangalore. This hybrid role requires you to test embedded systems (HW/SW) and ensure end-to-end quality in an Agile environment.

You will define clear test plans, execute manual and automated tests, and work in a scrum team to verify functional behavior of Harmonic products. You’ll contribute to automation needs and provide test-script requirements.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in manual testing of an Embedded System (HW/SW).
• Experience in QA methodologies.
• Linux knowledge.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or a similar field, or an equivalent experience.
• Networking knowledge (Layer 3) - advantage.
• Knowledge of RF testing equipment, traffic generators, network sniffer - advantage.
• Python or other scripting knowledge, experience in test scripts execution – advantage.
• DOCSIS / PON (Passive Optical Network) knowledge - advantage.
• Agile working methods – advantage.

Responsibilities

Role Description

We are looking for a SW QA Engineer

You will report to the Director of System Integration & QA, Broadband business unit.

Location

Hybrid role – working at least 3 days a week from our office in Bangalore.
