Dexcom Inc. in Bengaluru invites a mobile developer to design and build Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

You will implement requirements, write/update design documents, and continuously adopt new technologies to boost development efficiency, ensuring high-quality product delivery. The role requires 1–2 years of native Android experience, 3+ years in software development, and proficiency with Espresso/Mockito for automated testing within Agile teams using Jira, Confluence,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 1–2 years of native Android app development with Kotlin + Jetpack Compose (Java preferred).
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong emphasis on documentation, testing and clean coding practices.
• Experience in Agile environments using Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with version control tools (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, GitFlow).
• Experience writing automated tests with Espresso and Mockito.
• Familiarity with design patterns MVC, MVVM, MVP.

Where you come in:

• You will design and build applications for the Android platform.


• You’ll implement requirements on Android apps, write and update design documents


• We’ll rely on you to continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to strengthen development efficiency


• You’ll interface with software test to ensure high quality product.

• You’ll participate in design, code and test reviews

What makes you successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.


• You have a minimum of 1-2 years of native Android app development experience using Kotlin in combination with Jetpack Compose. Knowledge of Java is preferred.


• You have 3 years of professional software development experience


• You bring a high degree of diligence in documentation, testing and coding


• You have experience working in Agile teams & using tools such as Jira and Confluence


• You have experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Github Actions


• You have experience with version control tools such as Git, Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket and GitFlow


• You have experience writing automated tests using Espresso and Mokito


• You have working knowledge of design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, MVP

Experience and Education:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’sdegree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 2-5 years related experience or Master’s degree and 0-2 years equivalent experience.
