What your impact is?
  • Survey programmes are delivered on schedule and within budget, with access, resource, and equipment aligned to landowner permissions and site constraints.
  • Access windows are actively managed and re-planned in response to weather, ecology seasons, landowner availability, and construction interfaces — protecting critical path.
  • Clients and Internal stakeholders receive clear, timely progress updates on survey status, blockers, and completion, supported by accurate trackers and reporting.
  • Cross-team coordination, with issues escalated early and resolved collaboratively.
  • Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), permits, and post-survey reinstatement records are complete, auditable, and stored in line with ERM's quality and assurance standards.
What will you bring?
  • Demonstrable experience (typically 3+ years) coordinating multi-discipline surveys, fieldwork, or site logistics on UK infrastructure, energy, utilities, environmental, or development projects.
  • Strong programme and logistics management skills — able to juggle multiple concurrent survey campaigns, teams, and access windows.
  • Working knowledge of UK H&S and compliance frameworks relevant to fieldwork.
  • Confident communicator with landowners, surveyors, subcontractors, and clients — both written and verbal.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) with the ability to build and maintain trackers, dashboards, and resourcing plans.
  • Familiarity with GIS platforms and the ability to interpret land plans, constraint mapping, and access routes.
  • Commercial awareness of utilisation, chargeability, and cost control on survey workstreams.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • Prior experience coordinating surveys.
  • Familiarity with resource management and forecasting tools used in consultancy (e.g., Workday, resource trackers).
  • Experience supporting DCO, TWAO, planning, or ESIA-driven survey programmes.
  • Exposure to global delivery or shared service environments, working alongside offshore/CDH delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the planning, scheduling, and mobilisation of UK survey campaigns across disciplines.
  • Work closely with Land Access Managers and Coordinators to align survey programmes with landowner permissions, access windows, and any site-specific conditions or restrictions.
  • Maintain the master survey tracker, resource plan, and access matrix — ensuring visibility of status, blockers, and forecast completion across projects.
  • Ensure all surveyors and subcontractors have the required competencies, certifications, and inductions before deployment.
  • Provide clear, timely progress updates to project managers, technical leads, and clients on survey delivery, and elevate risks or delays early.
  • Support the Land Access Manager with post-survey close-out, including reinstatement checks, damage claims, and landowner thank-you communications.
