Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking a Subject Matter Expert to perform manual testing at the user level, audit work by Device Associates, and triage bugs. The role requires 1+ years in QA testing and a strong understanding of QA methodologies, with experience interfacing with Product/Technology teams.

The candidate should be able to handle ambiguity, contribute to test data creation, and participate in exploratory testing, bug bashes, and feedback on testing coverage to improve QA processes.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of quality assurance testing experience.
• Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in a QAE role.
• Experience understanding product and technical requirements and interfacing with Product/Technology teams.
• 1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience, or Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform test case execution and report bugs accurately
• Provides floor support to DAs on clarifying their queries during execution
• Can deal with ambiguity in the system, has clear understanding of product/Project and is less dependent on work instructions
• Comes up with creative ways to reduce ambiguity by identifying training needs, work instruction simplification etc.
• Involved in creating test data and test execution in a timely, clear and concise manner
• Takes part in Adhoc testing like Exploratory testing, Bug Bashes and find customer centric bugs
• Give feedback on coverage, quality of test instructions, automation needs to the QA team.

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience, or Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in an QAE role
• Experience understanding product and technical requirements and interfacing with Product/Technology teams

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience, or Bachelor's degree within last 12 months in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
• Experience identifying and reviewing test plans, test cases and testing results with a strong QA background
• Ability to understand technical specifications
