Job summary

Nokia is seeking an experienced Live Network Intervention (LNI) specialist in Bengaluru with 7+ years in software/telecom architectures. The role focuses on ensuring quality artifacts, procedures, and execution plans for planned activities across Mobile Core networks.

Responsibilities include reviewing LNI plans, establishing KPIs, and guiding delivery teams during maintenance windows. Strong TCP/IP and database skills are required, with cloud/virtualization and Kubernetes familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 7+ years in software/telecom solutions.
• Extensive experience in Mobile Core and 4G/5GSA.
• Understanding of interfaces between Mobile Core solution elements including 3rd parties.
• Experience with TCP/IP protocols and data communication standards.

Responsibilities

• Own and be accountable for all aspects of the LNI activity as the subject matter expert.
• Leverage Mobile Core expertise and best practices to measure impact and risks at a solution level.
• Review and approve LNI plans, data sources, and scripts prior to customer network deployment.
• Define KPIs to measure impacts on the network from LNI work.
• Contribute findings to lessons learned and best practices.
• Supervise services delivery teams during maintenance windows and manage incidents.
• Lead troubleshooting groups for Live Network interventions when needed.
• Contribute to automation programs for LNI preparations and executions.
• Ensure high-quality project delivery by monitoring KPIs and execution plans.

In this role, you will ensure the success of a Live Network Intervention by taking responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the LNI artifacts, procedures, scripts needed to execute the planned activities and supervise LNI execution.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

• As a subject matter expert in the Delivery Assurance team, you will own and be accountable for all aspects of the LNI activity.
• You will accomplish this by leveraging your extensive Mobile Core expertise, best practices, and lessons learned. This role will require you to look across product domains and measure the impact and risks of LNI activities at a solution level.
• Review and approve LNI plans to include data sources like CiQ, implementation procedures, scripts and other LNI artifacts prior to implementation on the customer network.
• Review and establish the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) that will be used to measure impacts to the network based on LNI work to be performed.
• Capture details of the review and as needed contribute findings to lessons learned and best practices.
• Execute (as needed) & supervise the services delivery teams during the maintenance window and manage incidents during the activity.
• If needed, join/ lead troubleshooting group for specific Live Network intervention
• Contribute to Automation programs focused on LNI preparations and executions.
• Ensure high-quality project delivery by monitoring delivery KPIs, execution plans, and overall project performance.

Key Skills And Experience

You have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, with 7+ years of experience in architecting software, IT, or telecom solutions.
• Proven experience in defining architecture and delivering those solutions to the market.
• Extensive experience in telecommunications (4G/5GSA) with a deep understanding of Mobile Core network elements and technologies, their evolution, and the latest industry trends.
• Understanding of the interfaces and interactions between Mobile Core solution elements including 3rd parties.
• Experience in CSD/Signaling domain: SCP, SEPP, BSF, SLF, DRA, DEA, DFW, SLF and IWF.
• Competences on TCP/IP & main Protocols: Diameter (Gx-Rx-Sy)/ HTTP2/ SIP / Sigtran / SOAP-XML / SNMP.
• Competences in Java/J2EE, Linux, DBMS, web technologies, cloud/virtualization, Kubernetes, containers, SDN, and data analytics.
• Experience of Unix/Linux OS’s & Databases (Aerospike/MariaDB/Oracle/SQL)
• Advanced competence of NW Architectures/Products & International standards: 3GPP/ETSI.
• Cloud experience (VNF, CNF) & related products (CBIS/CBAM – NCS/NCOM) or platform VMware/OpenStack.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• Ability to develop scripts / automation using AI tools as needed and high degree of proficiency in Kubernetes
• Good Communication skills which shall enable appropriate articulation of Issues / risks and their mitigation.
