Job summary

IDC Engineering India is seeking a mechanical design engineer to design structural components for turbo machinery, including enclosures and base frames, for new product development. You will perform structural analysis and hand calculations, validate designs under various loads, and produce detailed drawings, reports and specifications.

Collaborate with electrical and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance with API, ASME, ISA, ANSI and DIN standards.

Qualifications

• Experience designing structural components for high-precision machinery.
• Ability to validate designs with calculations and simulations.
• Knowledge of welding symbols and relevant standards.
• Familiarity with CREO and structural simulation tools.

Job description

This position offers an exciting opportunity to design structural components for Turbo machinery products including enclosures, base frames and ancillary systems for new product development team.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and develop detailed mechanical designs with a focus on structural integrity, ensuring they meet all relevant standards and specifications
• Perform comprehensive structural analysis and hand calculations to validate the performance and safety of designs under various loading conditions
• Strong understanding of materials science and strength of materials.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Electrical engineers, Manufacturing engineers to ensure seamless integration of designs into final products.
• Prepare Detailed engineering documentation, including detailed drawings, analysis reports and technical specifications.

Required Skills

• Ability to produce both concept and Detailed design using CREO.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform complex calculations and simulations
• Strong structural validation knowledge using CREO Simulation or ANSYS.
• Strong knowledge in welding symbols and Standards API, ASME, ISA, ANSI&DIN
• Strong knowledge in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
