Job summary

JPMorganChase in Mumbai seeks a Strategic Analytics Associate to join Risk Management. You will develop analytics to advise on strategy development, implementation, and performance monitoring, and support control and profitability insights across the account lifecycle.

You will translate large data into actionable management information, understand underwriting, portfolio management, and collections processes, and deliver recommendations to management through clear written and oral communication.

Qualifications

• MS degree with 3 years of risk management or quantitative experience preferred.
• Alternatively, BS degree with 5 years of risk management or quantitative experience.
• Background in statistics, econometrics, or a quantitative field.
• Experience with risk analytics techniques and data querying.

Responsibilities

As a Strategic Analytics Associate, you'll work with the risk team to generate thoughtful analytics and recommendations to the business concerning strategy development, implementation, operational controls, and performance monitoring.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain periodic analytics to provide management with insight into emerging trends and account quality.
• Attain a detailed understanding of key performance metrics and profitability drivers across the account lifecycle.
• Understand operational processes (e.g., manual underwriting, portfolio management, collections) to interpret acquisition performance.
• Conduct ad hoc analytics and support projects representing Risk Management

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• MS degree and 3 years Risk Management or other quantitative experience preferred.
• Otherwise, BS degree and minimum 5 years Risk Management or other quantitative experience required
• Background in statistics, econometric, or other quantitative field required
• Advanced understanding of SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner, or other decision tree software
• Ability to query large amounts of data and transform the raw data into actionable management information
• Familiarity with risk analytic techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience delivering recommendations to management
