Job description

Roles and Responsibilities

Candidate will need to advise which are the suitable statistical tests for a particular academic research. Research could be in Engineering, Management, Life Sciences or Social Sciences.

The candidate should have good conceptual knowledge about which statistical tests are applicable based on the type of data. They should be well versed with SPSS and be able to apply tests for descriptive analysis, inferential analysis and predictive analysis. Time series analysis and knowledge of econometrics is an added advantage. Knowledge of R, Stata and AMOS will be an added advantage. The candidate should be able to explain the findings/results of the statistical tests. Tests such as Factor Analysis, Chi‑Square, Anova, MANOVA, and Logistic Regression must be well known.

Desired Candidate Profile

An ideal candidate will hold an M.Sc in Statistics with a deep understanding of when to apply which statistical tests and should have experience working with SPSS. Knowledge of MS Excel and STATA is an added advantage.
