Job summary

Aeva is looking for an experienced Staff Systems Engineer in Bengaluru, India, to lead the technical development and lifecycle maintenance of their innovative LiDAR sensor products. You'll play a key role in systems engineering through the entire product lifecycle, from architecture to release.

The ideal candidate will drive hands-on systems work while providing technical direction, ensuring all designs meet leading automotive standards for safety and performance.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Staff Systems Engineer to serve as the technical lead for development and lifecycle maintenance of our next-generation LiDAR sensor products. This is a player-coach role: you will drive critical systems work hands-on while providing technical direction across the product.

You will apply rigorous systems engineering across the full lifecycle, with ownership of opto-mechanical and DSP subsystems and a strong end-to-end systems view — from vehicle-level requirements through architecture, integration, verification, and release. Design and implementation must meet automotive standards including ASPICE, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), Cyber Security (ISO/SAE 21434), and SOTIF (ISO 21448).
