Your role and responsibilities
The Solutions Engineering team serves as the primary technical resource and internal advocate for all Customers at HashiCorp. Through consultative engagement, we identify our customers’ challenges and business requirements, leveraging our product expertise to propose solutions that meet their needs. As trusted technical advisors, we work closely with our customers to help them achieve their target outcomes and realize the full value of the HashiCorp solutions they’ve implemented.
- Exhibit Strategic Customer Leadership
- Operate as a senior trusted advisor to enterprise and C‑level stakeholders, influencing strategic direction across cloud adoption, DevSecOps, security, and modernization initiatives.
- Guide customers through platform‑level transformation including multi‑product adoption, organizational change enablement, and scaling best practices.
- Shape and communicate long‑term roadmaps driving toward measurable customer outcomes.
- Drive Technical Excellence & Outcomes
- Lead deep technical engagements—reference architectures, PoCs, workshops, integrations, and production deployments.
- Provide authoritative guidance across identity‑driven security, cloud automation, infrastructure lifecycle management, and policy‑driven governance.
- Support critical value‑realization milestones, guiding customers through onboarding, consumption success, and renewal cycles.
- Mentorship & Thought Leadership
- Mentor and elevate regional SE teams, promoting technical depth, storytelling excellence, and execution rigor.
- Lead enablement sessions internally and externally; contribute to technical best‑practice assets, playbooks, and reusable architectural templates.
- Multi‑Product Expansion & Adoption
- Drive platform expansion opportunities across Vault (security), Terraform (automation), Consul (networking), and Nomad (workload orchestration).
- Deliver integrated value demonstrations aligned with customer digital transformation outcomes.
- Cross‑Functional Leadership
- Partner closely with Sales Leadership, Solutions Architecture, Customer Success, Professional Services, Engineering, and Product Management to ensure customer success throughout the lifecycle.
- Provide market and customer feedback to inform product direction, roadmap prioritization, and competitive positioning.
- Evangelize HashiCorp & Ecosystem
- Represent HashiCorp in strategic events, executive briefings, and lighthouse reference opportunities.
- Engage with ecosystem partners and system integrators to promote successful delivery patterns and product interoperability.
Required technical and professional expertise
- Experience: 13+ years in technical pre‑sales, architecture, or consulting roles; enterprise experience required.
- Strategic Influence: Proven ability to influence enterprise decision‑makers—including C‑suite—toward multi‑year transformation initiatives.

- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical strategies to both executive and technical stakeholders; confident storytelling and presentation abilities.
- Collaboration: Strong history of working cross‑functionally with field, R&D, and delivery teams to drive outcomes.
- Travel: Ability to travel as needed, with domestic and occasional international travel required.
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Familiarity or hands‑on experience with HashiCorp products (Terraform, Vault, Boundary, Consul, Nomad).
- Cloud certifications (AWS / Azure / GCP), strong architectural certifications preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with highly regulated or large‑scale global enterprises.
