Job summary

Egnyte is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - AI to join our India-based, remote team. You will design and build highly scalable cloud architectures that integrate with on-prem and multi-cloud systems, while guiding engineers through technical direction and best practices.

You will own critical projects from design to deployment, and communicate complex architectural decisions effectively across teams. You will monitor industry trends to develop new AI-enabled technologies, prevent failures, and

• BE/ME or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 6-8 years of professional engineering experience with a history of technical innovation.
• Experience in providing technical leadership to engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly scalable cloud architecture that integrates with on-premises systems.
• Drive the team's technical direction to improve Egnyte's cloud platform efficiency.
• Effectively communicate complex design and architecture details.
• Understand industry trends to help develop new technologies.
• Conceptualize and implement changes to prevent system unreliability or under-utilization.
• Own all aspects of critical software projects from design to deployment and monitoring.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Design and develop highly scalable and resilient cloud architecture that seamlessly integrates with on-premises systems
• Drive the team's goals and technical direction to find and pursue technical opportunities that make Egnyte's cloud platform more efficient
• Effectively communicate complex design and architecture details
• Understand company and industry-wide trends to help develop new technologies
• Conceptualize, develop, and implement changes that prevent key systems from becoming unreliable, under-utilized, or unsupported
• Own all aspects of critical software projects from design to implementation, QA, deployment, and monitoring

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

• BE, ME, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 6-8 years of professional experience in engineering with a history of technical innovation
• Experience in providing technical leadership to engineers
