Job summary

Equifax is seeking experienced software engineers in India to build cloud-native microservices and data processing solutions. You will work with Java, SpringBoot, and TypeScript/JavaScript, deploying on GCP/AWS/Azure and managing Kubernetes-based environments.

You will collaborate with product, architecture, and SRE teams, mentor peers, and drive best practices, security, and FinOps KPIs while delivering high-quality software through CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• 7+ years experience with Java, SpringBoot, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• 7+ years experience with Cloud technology: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• 7+ years experience designing and developing cloud-native solutions.
• 7+ years experience designing and developing microservices using Java, SpringBoot, GCP SDKs, GKE/Kubernetes.
• 7+ years experience deploying and releasing software using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code concepts, Helm Charts, and Terraform constructs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of cloud native, distributed microservice based architectures.
• Build relationships with product, business and sales; communicate clearly.
• Collaborate with architects and SRE leads on technical direction and best practices.
• Mentor, coach and develop junior and senior engineers across software, quality and reliability teams.
• Ensure compliance with secure software development guidelines and meet QE, DevSec, and FinOps KPIs.
• Define, maintain and report SLA, SLO, SLIs in partnership with product and engineering teams.
• Drive technical documentation and run books; lead sprint ceremonies.
• Make architecture decisions for features, refactoring, and EOSL timelines.
• Deliver technical presentations to internal and external audiences; distill complex info clearly.
• Perform R&D and PoCs for cloud-native solutions.
• Design and develop cloud-native solutions and microservices using Java, SpringBoot on GCP/Kubernetes.
• Deploy and release software via Jenkins pipelines; apply IaC concepts with Helm/Terraform.

What you'll do

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of cloud native, distributed micro service based architectures.
• Build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders including product, business and sales partners. Demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to both simplify complex problems and also dive deeper if needed.
• Collaborate with the architects, SRE leads and other technical leadership on strategic technical direction, guidelines, and best practices
• Manage teams with cross functional skills that include software, quality, reliability engineers, project managers and scrum masters. Mentor, coach and develop junior and senior software, quality and reliability engineers
• Ensure compliance with EFX secure software development guidelines and best practices and responsible for meeting and maintaining QE, DevSec, and FinOps KPIs.
• Define, maintain and report SLA, SLO, SLIs meeting EFX engineering standards in partnership with the product, engineering and architecture teams
• Drive technical documentation including support, end user documentation and run books. Lead Sprint planning, Sprint Retrospectives, and other team activity.
• Implement architecture decision making associated with Product features/stories, refactoring work, and EOSL decisions
• Create and deliver technical presentations to internal and external technical and non-technical stakeholders communicating with clarity and precision, and present complex information in a concise format that is audience appropriate
• Perform R&D, prototyping/PoC of cloud-native solutions
• Design and develop cloud-native solutions. Design and development of big data processing solutions using Dataflow/Apache Beam, Bigtable, BigQuery, PubSub, GCS, Composer/Airflow, and others. Design and development of micro services using Java, Springboot, GCP SDKs, GKE/Kubeneties
• Deploy and release software using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, understand infrastructure-as-code concepts, Helm Charts, and Terraform constructs
• Cloud Certification strongly preferred

What experience you need

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• 7+ years experience writing, debugging, and troubleshooting code in mainstream Java, SpringBoot, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• 7+ years experience with Cloud technology: GCP, AWS, or Azure
• 7+ years experience designing and developing cloud-native solutions
• 7+ years experience designing and developing microservices using Java, SpringBoot, GCP SDKs, GKE/Kubernetes
• 7+ years experience deploying and releasing software using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, understand infrastructure-as-code concepts, Helm Charts, and Terraform constructs
