Job summary

Stryker's Bengaluru team seeks a Staff Software Engineer with 6–8 years of experience in Angular and Node.js to design and build cloud-based applications. You will work on live data streaming, REST APIs, and scalable backend services, with deployment to GCP and containerized CI/CD pipelines.

Collaborate with UX, QA, and product teams, mentor junior engineers, review code, optimize performance, and ensure robust testing and reliability across distributed environments.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of software engineering experience with Angular and Node.js.
• Hands-on cloud-based application development experience.
• Experience with REST APIs, data streaming, and microservices.
• Proficiency in Python/Java/Scala is a plus.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10%.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud deployed application development with end-end working knowledge. working knowledge on Agentic development levering tools like Cursor will be an added advantage. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple locations to design, implement, test, and maintain software contribute to architecture and requirements and support product releases and lifecycle activities. (requirements/design/architecture/bugs/test).* Troubleshoot production issues and improve application reliability.* Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate engineering productivity while maintaining code quality.**Preferred Qualifications (Strongly desired):** Technical Skills:* Expert level working knowledge of Angular, node.js anwarehousingExpert-level,d api development* Solid understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL), data warehouse, RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, and microservices architecture.* Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java and Scala.* Experience with cloud platforms preferably GCP.* Working experience with data streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka), GCP Pub-Sub, etc is good to have but not mandatory.* Knowledge of testing frameworks, version control systems (Gitlab, Git), and CI/CD pipelines.**Software Process Skills:** • Experience in creating estimates for code implementation time/resource for assigned tasks • Experience in Software Development Life Cycle processes • Experience using Application Lifecycle Management /Traceability tools **Minimum Qualifications (Required):*** Bachelor’s degree in software engineering/ computer science or related discipline & 6-8 yrs of work experience.Travel Percentage: 10%
