Walmart Global Tech India in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced senior software engineer to design, develop, and implement scalable Java-based microservices and cloud-native solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies to deliver high-impact products for Walmart International customers.

The role emphasizes strong fundamentals, end-to-end ownership, and hands-on development with modern stacks including SpringBoot, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/related field with 4 years' software experience or 6 years' experience without degree.
• Strong CS fundamentals; data structures and algorithms.
• Experience in microservices and RESTful development in Java (SpringBoot/Dropwizard).
• Cloud and microservice stacks, containers and VM concepts.
• Agile, DevOps, CI/CD with Git, Maven, Jenkins.

About Team

Our team collaborates with Walmart International, which has over 5,900 retail units operating outside of the United States under 55 banners in 26 countries including Africa, Argentina, Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Japan, and Mexico, to name a few.

What You'll Do

• Drive design, development, implementation and documentation
• Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
• Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.
• Drive the success of the implementation by applying technical skills, to design and build enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives.
• Work closely with the Architects and cross functional teams and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery). Within the established architectural guidelines.
• You will work with engineering teams to create high level and low level designs, drive design discussion and technical decisions.

What You'll Bring

• 11+ years of experience in design and development of highly-scalable applications and platform development.
• Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns.
• Hands on experience in Microservices, RESTful webservices development in Java (SpringBoot, Dropwizard or equivalent framework).
• In depth knowledge of Cloud Architecture, Microservice Architecture and related stacks (Service Registry, ELK / Splunk, Microservices, VMs, etc.) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Work exposure on agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD development environments/tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership for development and design of least one cloud-based project.
• Strong hands on development skills to prototype technical solutions
