An engineer will be responsible for building system software components running on Linux/Fabric OS. The components will be part of the infrastructure and may be user or kernel level components.

• Support infrastructure components for multiple parallel releases.
• Work with technical teams across geographies and time zones.
• Tune performance of infrastructure components to meet scalability requirements.
• Port applications to new Linux kernels.
• Collaborate with testing, documentation, and customer support teams.

Skills Required

• Must have a 4-year undergraduate degree, and Master’s degree preferred, with Major or Minor in Computer Science or Information Systems.
• Must have 8 to 12 years of work experience in a software product company. Should have worked on the Linux/Unix platforms, using C/C++ languages.
• Should have knowledge of at least one scripting language, preferable Python.
• Must be familiar with Software Development Life Cycle for a product that has multiple release streams, and must have gone through the software development process at least once in their past work experience.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills to: take requirement, develop external functional specs, unit test plan, and implementation design specs.
