• Design and refine core experiences across the full customer journey from onboarding to earnings tracking and repayment.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineering, and data teams to define requirements and validate solutions via research and usability testing.
• Establish and maintain design patterns and systems for consistency across features.
• Identify friction points in critical flows and design solutions to improve usability, clarity, confidence, and compliance.
• Leverage research findings and customer feedback to inform design strategy and prioritize impactful improvements.
• Ensure designs reflect EarnIn's reliability, trust, and regulatory standards and collaborate with Compliance, Risk, and Finance teams.

POSITION SUMMARY
We\'re looking for a highly creative and self-motivated Staff Product Designer to join EarnIn\'s Financial Intelligence Platform team. This is a structured, quality-focused group responsible for designing and improving the foundational experiences that power EarnIn\'s modern platform for financial flexibility and financial wellness for its community members. You\'ll work closely with product, engineering, design, compliance, risk, and finance partners to define and drive design excellence across core features like bank connectivity, earnings tracking, and repayment experiences. This role bridges deep design leadership with cross-functional execution, championing both customer and business value while ensuring quality, simplicity, and regulatory compliance. Your work will directly influence customer satisfaction and retention across our core experiences.

This position will be a hybrid role based in our Bengaluru office, with 2 days on-site as part of our expanding site. WHAT YOU\'LL DO

• Design and refine core experiences across the full customer journey—from bank connection and account setup to earnings tracking and repayment experiences
• Partner with PMs, engineering, and data teams to define design requirements and validate solutions through research and usability testing
• Establish and maintain design patterns and systems that ensure consistency and simplicity across Financial Intelligence Platform features
• Identify friction points in critical flows and design thoughtful solutions that improve usability, clarity, confidence, and compliance
• Leverage research findings and customer feedback to inform design strategy and prioritize improvements that deliver measurable impact
• Champion quality and polish, ensuring every interaction reflects EarnIn\'s commitment to reliability, trust, and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, and Finance teams to ensure designs meet industry and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and design excellence within the team

WHAT WE\'RE LOOKING FOR

• 7+ years of experience designing consumer-facing digital products, with demonstrated success on core experiences or core functionality
• A strong portfolio showcasing thoughtful problem-solving, systematic design, and measurable improvements to user satisfaction and retention
• Deep understanding of financial products, user trust, and how to design for clarity in complex workflows
• Ability to balance creative thinking with research-driven validation, comfortable collaborating with data teams to measure impact
• Excellent storytelling and communication skills, particularly in articulating design rationale to cross-functional stakeholders at all levels
• Skilled in Figma, prototyping tools, and modern design workflows
• Comfortable in structured environments where roadmaps are planned across product areas, with the ability to drive projects to completion
• Passion for solving real customer problems and improving financial wellness for everyday people
• Background in systems design, design patterns, or design operations preferred
• Experience improving user satisfaction and retention metrics through design-driven solutions is preferred
