AMD in Bengaluru is seeking a Staff QA Engineer to join the Embedded x86 Software Quality and Validation team. You will validate BIOS and firmware across AMD Embedded and Enterprise platforms, ensuring quality, stability, and customer readiness.
You will work with BIOS/Firmware/Silicon/Platform Eng groups, drive test planning, automation, defect management, and release qualification while pushing continuous quality improvements across AMD products.

AMD is looking for an experienced staff QA Engineer to join the Embedded x86 Software Quality and Validation organization. The role is responsible for validating BIOS and Firmware solutions across AMD Embedded and Enterprise platforms, ensuring product quality, stability, feature compliance, and customer readiness.
The QA Engineer will work closely with BIOS Engineering, Firmware Engineering, Silicon Engineering, Platform Engineering, Product Management, Program Management, and Customer Engineering teams to validate platform functionality, identify defects, reproduce customer-reported issues, drive root-cause analysis, and ensure timely closure of quality concerns.
The successful candidate will contribute to platform validation strategies, test planning, automation enablement, defect management, release qualification, and continuous quality improvements across AMD products.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated validation engineer with strong BIOS and firmware testing expertise, platform debugging skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality products.
This individual should be comfortable working in fast-paced environments, collaborating across globally distributed teams, and independently driving technical investigations from issue identification through resolution.
