Role Overview
As aStaff Platform EngineeratNCG, you will play a strategic and hands‑on role in shaping the organizationsenterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM)landscape within the BFSI domain. This role combines deep technical expertise with architectural leadership, enabling you to design, build, and optimize highly secure and scalable IAM platforms.
You will partner closely with business leaders, security teams, and engineering squads to translate organizational policies and risk requirements into robust IAM solutions. Beyond delivery, you will influence engineering standards, mentor teams, and drive innovationincluding the adoption ofAI-driven capabilities in IAMto ensure the platform remains future‑ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead thearchitecture and designof IAM platforms using thePing Identity suitedeployed onAWS.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available IAM solutions aligned with enterprise and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and optimizeCI/CD pipelinesusingGitHub Actions, TeamCity, and Octopus Deploy.
- Build and supportinfrastructure automationusing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and integrate with enterpriseVaultsolutions.
- Integrate applications across cloud platformsprimarilyAWSensuring secure identity flows and access controls.
- Collaborate closely withProduct, Security, Architecture, and Engineering teamsto deliver end‑to‑end IAM capabilities.
- Drive adoption ofbest practicesin software engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, and Agile delivery models.
- Mentor and guide junior and senior engineers, fostering a culture oftechnical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Champion and drive theadoption of AI use cases within the IAM ecosystem.
- Prepare, maintain, and review technical documentation, including:
- System and solution designs
- Deployment and configuration guides
- Test scripts and user manuals
- Ensure seamless integration with solutions delivered by other internal platforms and teams.
- Act as a key technical point of contact, effectively communicating complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
Required Skills & Experience
- 1215 years of hands‑on experience inIdentity & Access Management (IAM)and platform engineering roles.
- Strong expertise withPing Identity, including:
- Ping Directory
- PingFederate
- PingAccess
- PingCentral and other Ping Suite components
- Deep proficiency withAWS services, includingEC2, S3, IAM, andCloudFormation/Terraform.
- Extensive experience withCI/CD tooling, particularly:
- GitHub Actions
- TeamCity
- Octopus Deploy
- Strong scripting and automation skills usingPowerShell, Bash, and Python.
- Proven ability to design and operateenterprise-grade, highly available IAM platforms.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Exposure toAI technologiesand their application within IAM or identity governance use cases.
- Experience working in regulated environments such asBFSI.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Education
- Bachelors or Masters degree inComputer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant IT or business tertiary qualifications are desirable.
