Job summary

Medanta Homecare in Ranchi is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients at home, including monitoring vitals, oxygen saturation, and overall clinical status.

You will conduct assessments, administer medications and therapies, and manage post-operative and chronic care while maintaining precise records and ensuring infection control. Relevant ICU/ER/post-op/homecare exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• GNM or B.Sc. Nursing qualification required.
• Valid nursing registration is mandatory.
• Relevant clinical experience in ICU, Emergency, Ward, Post-operative Care, or Homecare preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients at home, including monitoring vital signs, cardiac status, oxygen saturation, and overall clinical condition.
• Conduct clinical assessments, identify early signs of deterioration, and promptly elevate critical findings to the treating physician.
• Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, injections, nebulization, and oxygen therapy as per medical orders and clinical protocols.
• Perform wound dressing, catheter care, Ryle’s tube care, tracheostomy care, and other nursing procedures based on patient requirements and clinical competency.
• Manage patients requiring oxygen support, post-operative care, chronic disease management, and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Maintain accurate patient records, nursing notes, medication charts, intake-output records, and vital sign monitoring sheets.
• Follow infection control practices, hand hygiene, aseptic techniques, biomedical waste disposal, and patient safety protocols.
• Recognize medical emergencies, provide immediate first response and BLS/CPR within the scope of training, and coordinate timely medical assistance.
• Educate patients and caregivers on medication adherence, disease management, hygiene, mobility, pressure sore prevention, and homecare procedures.
• Coordinate with treating doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and timely reporting of clinical changes.
• Ensure proper handling of medical equipment, nursing supplies, and emergency care essentials during home visits.
• Maintain patient confidentiality, professional conduct, and compassionate communication while delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care.
