Job Description

Job responsibilities:

• Expertise in implementation of RTL in Verilog/SV for complex designs with multiple clock domains.
• The individual will be responsible for all aspects of digital design in NAND Flash memory, focusing on RTL design, verification, logic synthesis, and timing analysis to deliver a design meeting target specification, performance and area goals.
• Develop, verify, and optimize RTL code for memory designs, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather system-level requirements and translate them into effective RTL designs.
• Collaborate with verification teams to build comprehensive testbenches and validate the functionality of RTL designs.
• Perform static timing analysis and resolve timing-related issues to ensure proper functionality.
• Interface with physical design and cross functional teams to ensure successful tape-out and integration of NAND memory systems.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback. Also conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with best practices, coding standards, and design guidelines.
• Document design processes and methodologies.
• Provide ongoing support during debugging and bring-up phases of new designs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of RTL Design experience.

Skills Required/Preferred:

• Technical Proficiency:
  • Strong understanding of digital logic design principles.
  • Proficiency in Verilog/System Verilog for RTL coding.
  • Familiarity with synthesis tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of mixed-signal design concepts is a plus.
• Scripting Skills:
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl can enhance automation capabilities within the design process.
• Analytical Skills:
  • Ability to analyze trade-offs between power, performance, area (PPA), and cost during the design process.
• Preferred Skills:
  • Expertise in NAND flash memory technologies (e.g., SLC, MLC, TLC, NAND flash controllers).
  • Experience with high-speed digital design, including memory protocols (e.g., JEDEC, NAND interface standards).
  • Familiarity with netlist integration and mixed design principles and optimizations for memory systems.
  • Interface with internal and external teams/customers to drive necessary technical specifications and features based on individual requirements.
  • Participating in Post-Silicon evaluation and debug.
  • Prior experience working on storage-related products or NAND memory subsystems.
  • Knowledge of formal verification techniques and tools.
• Preferred tools exposure:
  • NCSIM, Xcellium, IMC, IEV, Verdi, Jasper, VS Formal.
  • Schematic and layout environment, Linting and STA tools.
• Communication Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
