Job summary

Nagarro, a Digital Product Engineering company, is seeking a data governance expert to join our global team. You will shape data quality, lineage, and metadata practices across HR and other domains, partnering with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

You will implement governance frameworks, monitor KPIs, and coordinate data security and compliance. Strong SQL, Snowflake, and Tableau skills are essential to deliver trusted analytics and insightful dashboards at scale.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Data Governance principles, Data Quality Management, Metadata Management and Data Lineage.
• Hands-on experience with data quality tools, databases, data warehousing concepts, and data analysis techniques.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, and Tableau (or equivalent data visualization tools).
• Experience developing and monitoring Data Quality metrics, KPIs, and governance reporting frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Writing and reviewing great quality code.
• Understanding functional requirements and analysing client needs within the project context.
• Envisioning the overall solution and defining technologies, patterns and frameworks.
• Determining and implementing design methodologies and tool sets.
• Enabling application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities.
• Leading or supporting UAT and production roll outs.
• Creating and validating WBS and estimated effort for modules/tasks.
• Addressing issues promptly and driving continuous improvement.
• Giving constructive feedback and setting clear expectations for the team.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex bugs.
• Proposing design/technology solutions during reviews and justifying decisions.
• Carrying out POCs to ensure designs meet requirements.

REQUIREMENT:

• We are hiring experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, CDO Office, BI & Analytics, or related data-focused roles.
• Experience working with HR data domains is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of Data Governance principles, Data Quality Management, Metadata Management, and Data Lineage.
• Hands-on experience with data quality tools, databases, data warehousing concepts, and data analysis techniques.
• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, and Tableau (or equivalent data visualization tools).
• Experience developing and monitoring Data Quality metrics, KPIs, and governance reporting frameworks.
• Knowledge of industry-standard Data Governance frameworks and best practices, including:
• DAMA DMBoK
• CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional)
• EDM Council DCAM
• Hands-on experience with Data Governance platforms and tools, including:
• Informatica Data Catalog or similar Data Catalog solutions
• Data Quality Management tools
• Metadata Management tools
• Understanding of Data Security, Data Classification, Data Access Controls, and Compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Writing and reviewing great quality code

• Envisioning the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements, and being able to define technologies, patterns and frameworks to realize it
• Determining and implementing design methodologies and tool sets

• Being able to lead/support UAT and production roll outs
• Creating, understanding and validating WBS and estimated effort for given module/task, and being able to justify it
• Addressing issues promptly, responding positively to setbacks and challenges with a mindset of continuous improvement
• Giving constructive feedback to the team members and setting clear expectations.
• Helping the team in troubleshooting and resolving of complex bugs
• Coming up with solutions to any issue that is raised during code/design review and being able to justify the decision taken
• Carrying out POCs to make sure that suggested design/technologies meet the requirements
