Qualifications

We are a team building full-stack, cloud-native products, with a strong emphasis on backend services and APIs. Most of our backend systems support mobile applications, and there is also web development work at times. Our solutions are built and deployed on Microsoft Azure, using services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Azure SQL and Cosmos DB, with containers (Docker, AKS), CI/CD through Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code. Our products have AI at their core: our applications make calls to Large Language Models (LLMs) and use AI models to deliver intelligent features. In this role, you will focus primarily on the backend and cloud services that power these AI-enabled products, while contributing across the stack.

What You will do:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs, primarily using .NET (C#), along with other languages such as Python and C++ where needed.
• Design and implement event-driven architectures using messaging and event-streaming services (e.g., Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs).
• Build and integrate AI capabilities into our products, including services that make calls to LLMs and consume AI models.
• Develop and optimize backend services, APIs, and database interactions usingMS SQLandNoSQLdatabases (e.g., Cosmos DB, MongoDB).
• Deploy, manage, and monitor applications onMicrosoft Azure, leveraging services likeApp Services, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, Azure Storage, and Azure SQL.Contribute to front-end work on Single Page Applications (SPA) when needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, and QA Engineers.
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the stack. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

What You Need:

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7-10 years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on backend development.Strong proficiency in.NET Core / .NET Framework,C#, andEntity Framework.
• Proficiency in more than one programming language; experience with Python and/or C++ in addition to C# is highly desirable.Strong backend engineering skills, including designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture for backend systems (e.g., message queues, pub/sub, event streaming, asynchronous processing).Experience with Containers i.e Docker, AKS, ACR.Proficiency inMS SQL Serverand experience withNoSQLdatabases.
• Solid experience withAzure Cloud Servicesincluding App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and Azure Storage. AWS good to have.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems likeGit.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Single Page Application (SPA) frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) is good to have but not required; strong backend experience is prioritized over front-end experience.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates is a plus.
• Understanding of authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect is a plus.
• Experience building products that integrate with LLMs (e.g., Azure OpenAI) or other AI/ML models is a plus.Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g.,AZ-204,AZ-400) are a plus.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
