Job summary

Stryker Corporation in India is seeking a senior software QA/automation engineer to lead verification and validation efforts within project timelines. You will design strategies, develop test cases, and build, maintain and enhance an automation framework, while performing exploratory and formal manual testing.

The role requires 7–11 years in software testing, hands-on Python and Java, Selenium/Cucumber/Pytest, and experience with SDLC, bug lifecycle and risk assessment.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in CS/EE.

What Will You Do

Develop the verification and validation strategy/plan that meets the SDLC requirements within the project timeline and resource constraints. Develop software test cases to verify the software requirements. Develop, maintain & enhance the automation test framework. Perform manual testing (exploratory testing, formal testing etc.), test execution of software test plans and bug verification. Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to test planning and estimation. Continuously improve automation practices and contribute to QA process improvements. Execute non-functional testing, which involves accuracy, reliability, and performance. Support other projects during the research phase of product development.

Required Qualifications

Educational degree of BE/B.Tech/ME/M. Tech in Computer Science/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering. 7-11 years of experience in Software Testing (Automation & Manual). Hands‑on in the test automation framework & script development using Python, Java and has experience in various frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber or Pytest. Knowledge of software configuration/version control and bug tracking tools. Proficient in SDLC, Test Methodologies, Bug Lifecycle, Test Case development, and Risk Assessment.

Preferred Qualifications

ISTQB and standard Agile certifications like CSM/PSM. Experience with software test equipment and test methodologies with Linux, Qt/QML, and Squish. Experience with regulatory and compliance standards applied to the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).

Work Flexibility Remote – Role allows you to work the majority to 100% of time from an alternate workplace. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location.

Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based.

Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category.

Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
