You will write production-grade code, mentor engineers, and shape API design and system architecture to support diverse industrial customers.

Qualifications

The Opportunity

When a technician in a refinery, a mine, or a chemical plant opens one of our apps, they are trusting that it works, every time, on a shift where the stakes are real. As a Staff Engineer, you are one of the people who earns that trust.

This is a hands‑on technical leadership role. You will not manage a team on an org chart. You will lead through the quality of your designs, the depth of your code, and the engineers you make better. You will own the technical direction of major areas of our Mobile and Web platform, set the engineering bar for the teams around you, and turn ambiguous business problems into simple, scalable, dependable solutions.

You will work across our product suite and across the stack, from Node.js microservices and data models to Angular/React and React Native experiences, on AWS. You will also help us bring AI‑enabled capabilities into products that frontline workers use every day.

We believe quality depends on the people making the design decisions. At Staff level, you own the "-ilities": scalability, reliability, security, performance, and maintainability. You build them into the design instead of testing them afterwards.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Own architecture and design. Lead the design of complex, cross‑team features and platform capabilities. Write clear HLDs and LLDs, drive design reviews, and make the trade‑offs explicit.


• Build what matters, hands‑on. Write production‑grade code in Node.js, MongoDB/DynamoDB, and Angular or React (including React Native) for the hardest, highest‑impact problems. You lead from the code.


• Design APIs and microservices that last. Define RESTful and OData API contracts, service boundaries, and data models that scale across customers, industries, and SAP and IBM Maximo integrations.


• Raise the engineering bar. Set standards for code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, and documentation. Use tools like SonarQube and strong unit and integration testing so that quality is measurable.


• Be the multiplier. Mentor Senior Engineers and Leads, grow future architects, and make every design and code review a teaching moment.


• Drive reliability and performance. Own the non‑functional requirements of your area. Lead root‑cause analysis on complex production issues and fix the system, not just the symptom.


• Deploy with confidence. Shape how we ship on AWS (and Azure/GCP where needed) with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices.


• Partner across the company. Work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, UX designers, QE, and Engineering leadership on vision, planning, and high‑level estimates. Join customer conversations when a hard problem needs the right answer.


• Shape our AI‑enabled future. Help integrate AI services into our products responsibly, and bring a pragmatic view of what works in industrial environments.


• Stay curious. Evaluate emerging technologies and bring the ones that make our products and our teams better.

What You Bring to the Team:

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.


• 10–12 years of full stack engineering experience, with a track record of delivering multiple major releases of SaaS products.


• Deep expertise in Node.js and MongoDB / DynamoDB, including data modelling and performance optimization.


• Strong proficiency in Angular or React; experience with React Native or mobile (hybrid/native) applications is a strong plus.


• Proven experience designing RESTful / OData APIs and microservices architectures at scale.


• Hands‑on experience with AWS (Azure/GCP a plus), Docker and Kubernetes, and setting up or driving CI/CD.


• A history of technical leadership: leading designs, mentoring engineers, and influencing without authority.


• A quality mindset: unit testing, code quality tooling (e.g., SonarQube), security, observability, and performance as part of everyday engineering.


• Excellent communication. You can write a crisp design doc (HLD/LLD/SDD) and explain a complex trade‑off to an engineer, a product manager, or a customer.


• Experience in an agile environment.


• Good to have: integration experience with SAP or IBM Maximo; Realm and AWS Amplify; third‑party integrations (Instabug, Mixpanel, payment gateways); exposure to AI/GenAI‑enabled product features; background in industrial, ERP, or enterprise SaaS.


• A valid passport, as occasional customer travel may be needed.
