Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a Staff Data Scientist (Growth & ML) in Hyderabad to design and deploy ML systems that drive customer growth and engagement. You will lead cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and bring research into scalable production solutions.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and strong communication to align technical decisions across groups while advancing personalized experiences across Warner Bros. Discovery products.

Formación

• MS/BS in CS/Statistics/Data Science/Quant or related field.
• 9+ years building ML products and personalization.
• Strong understanding of statistics and ML fundamentals.
• Proficiency with ML frameworks and production ML pipelines.

Responsabilidades

• Research, design, and build end-to-end ML systems for customer growth.
• Contribute to scalable ML solutions in production.
• Coordinate applied scientists and ML engineers, provide guidance.
• Promote best practices in data science, engineering, and communication.
• Mentor junior ML engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Apply existing ML research to real-world problems.
• Publish blogs or papers to contribute to the research community.

We work across all customer interactions to develop data products that enhance the customer experience andoptimize forretention and lifetime value.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Research, design, experiment with and build high-impactend-to-endmachine learning systems forcustomergrowth

• Contribute and drive the design of scalable ML solutions inproduction

• Coordinate the work of applied scientists and machine learning engineersprovidingresearch guidance andmentorship

• Promote and role-model best practices of data science, engineering, and communication throughout theorganization

• Mentor andprovidetechnical guidance tojuniorMachine Learning Engineersin theteam

• Navigateexisting ML research and apply it to solve industryproblems

• Contributeback to research community by writing/publishing blogs,articlesor papers in respected scientificconferences

What to Bring

• M.S or B.S.in a Computer Science/Statistics/Data Science/Quant or related field

• 9+ yearsofbuilding products with Machine Learning and Personalization

• Deep understanding ofstatistics andMLfundamentals

• Expertproficiencywith ML-frameworks such as TensorFlow,PyTorch,XGBoost, Scikit-learnetc.

• Production experience implementing,maintaining, and improvingmachine learning pipelines and models at scale in Python, Java, Scala, or similarlanguages

• Deep knowledge inmultipleML methodologies,such as Recommendations & Search, Causal Machine Learning, Interpretable ML,Multi-Armed Bandits, Reinforcement Learning and Constrained Optimization

• Proven leadership skills, such asaligningcomplextechnical decisionsacross teams,mentoring,coordinatingcross-functionalrelationshipswith non-technical stakeholders, managingexpectations,andnavigatingcompetingpriorities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively advocate technical solutions to scientists, engineers, and productaudiences

• Self-motivated, growth-oriented, and driven to pursueexcellence acrossteams

• Standardize and promote best practices for using AI-assisted tools to improve team-level productivity and code quality.
