Job Description & Responsibilities

SQL Server & Database Development

1. Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2017/2019).
2. Expertise in T‑SQL development including complex queries, joins, subqueries, CTEs, and window functions.
3. Experience in writing and optimizing stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
4. Strong understanding of database normalization and schema design.
5. Ability to analyze and improve query performance using execution plans.
6. Experience with indexes, partitioning, and performance tuning techniques.
7. Knowledge of transactions, locking, blocking, and isolation levels.
8. Familiarity with tempdb usage and optimization.
9. Experience in handling large datasets and high‑volume transactional systems.
10. Understanding of data security, roles, permissions, and encryption.

SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)

1. Strong hands‑on experience in SSIS package development.
2. Experience in building ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
3. Proficiency in using Data Flow Tasks, Control Flow Tasks, and Containers.
4. Experience with Lookup, Merge, Conditional Split, Derived Column, and Aggregate transformations.
5. Ability to handle incremental and full data loads.
6. Experience in error handling, logging, and checkpoint implementation in SSIS.
7. Knowledge of SSIS parameters, variables, and expressions.
8. Experience deploying SSIS packages using SSIS Catalog (SSISDB).
9. Familiarity with SSIS package scheduling via SQL Server Agent.
10. Experience in troubleshooting and performance tuning SSIS packages.
11. Knowledge of Flat File, Excel, XML, and JSON data sources.
12. Experience with FTP/SFTP integration in SSIS.
13. Understanding of data validation and reconciliation techniques.

Deployment, Monitoring & Support

• Experience with job scheduling and monitoring via SQL Server Agent.
• Ability to support production deployments and incident resolution.
• Experience in version control systems (Git, TFS, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of deployment best practices across Dev, QA, and Prod environments.
• Experience working with DBA teams for performance and capacity planning.
