Job summary

CheQ Digital is seeking an experienced Front-end Engineer to join our Engineering Team. You will design, develop, and maintain high-performance, mobile-first web applications using React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.

You will translate designs into pixel-perfect interfaces, optimize Core Web Vitals, collaborate with product and backend teams, and contribute to code reviews and architecture discussions to deliver strong customer value.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience building mobile-first, responsive web applications using React.js and modern JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and REST-based applications.
• Experience with mobile web performance optimization — lazy loading, code splitting, caching, and Core Web Vitals.
• Familiarity with responsive design frameworks/tools such as Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, or CSS Grid/Flexbox.
• Strong familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and mobile browser quirks (iOS Safari, Chrome Mobile, etc.).
• Basic understanding of accessibility (WCAG) standards and SEO-friendly markup.
• Familiarity with JavaScript build and package tools such as Webpack, Vite, NPM, or Gulp. Bonus: experience with PWAs or touch/gesture-based interactions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive, mobile-first web applications with high performance across devices and browsers.
• Build reusable, well-tested UI components using React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript. Translate Figma/UI designs into pixel-perfect, accessible, mobile-optimized interfaces.
• Optimize page load speed, rendering performance, and Core Web Vitals for mobile users.
• Implement responsive layouts using HTML5, CSS3, and modern styling approaches such as Flexbox, Grid, and Tailwind CSS.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to ship features end-to-end.
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility through rigorous testing.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.
