Job summary

Mediamint is seeking an SRE and Platform Engineering Lead to guide a ~11-person team across DevOps, SRE, SecOps, Data, and Release. You will own platform reliability, cost optimization, and delivery velocity end-to-end, reporting to the CTO.

You'll drive architecture decisions, establish SLOs/SLAs, and shape multi-quarter roadmaps, including security/compliance integration and on-call discipline. This role blends hands-on leadership with strategic direction in a fast-paced AI-enabled SaaS

Qualifications

• 8+ years engineering experience including leading platform, infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps teams.
• Direct people management experience leading teams of 8+ across multiple disciplines.
• Deep AWS expertise including cost optimization at scale across a multi-service, multi-account environment.
• Proven ownership of CI/CD and release engineering in a fast-shipping, high-velocity environment.
• Experience building or maturing on-call and incident response practices.
• Track record of partnering with security/compliance teams, ideally SOC 2 or similar frameworks.
• Strong executive communication skills comfortable reporting to and influencing a CTO on roadmap and tradeoffs.

Job Description:

• We're looking for a SRE and Platform Engineering Lead to run that function. You'll lead a team of ~11 engineers spanning SRE, DevOps, SecOps, Data, and Release, and you'll own the platform's reliability, cost efficiency, and delivery velocity end-to-end.
• You'll report directly to the CTO and sit at the intersection of infrastructure strategy, security posture (including our active SOC 2 push), and the day-to-day engineering culture that determines whether Mediamint Client's 37 day sprint cadence is sustainable or just aspirational.
• This is a hands-on leadership role you'll set technical direction, unblock your team, and represent platform engineering in company-wide roadmap conversations.

What You'll Own:

Team Leadership & Culture

• Lead and grow a ~11-person team across DevOps, SRE, SecOps, Data, and Release functions
• Set clear goals, career paths, and performance expectations for engineers across disciplines
• Build a healthy, sustainable on-call culture with clear escalation paths and blameless postmortems
• Mentor senior ICs and develop the next layer of technical leads within the team

Platform Reliability & Infrastructure Roadmap

• Own uptime, performance, and scalability of the infrastructure underpinning Mediamint Client's 35+ (scaling to 150+) live AI agents
• Define and drive the multi-quarter infrastructure roadmap in partnership with the CTO
• Establish SLOs/SLAs and the monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices to meet them
• Ensure the platform's modular "Lego" architecture scales cleanly as agent volume grows

AWS Cost Optimization & Cloud Strategy

• Own AWS cost optimization as an active, ongoing initiative not a one-time cleanup
• Drive rightsizing, reserved capacity planning, and architecture decisions that balance performance with spend
• Partner with finance and leadership on infrastructure budgeting and forecasting

CI/CD & Release Engineering

• Own the CI/CD pipelines that let engineering ship new Mediamint Client modules in 37 day sprints
• Continuously improve deployment safety, speed, and rollback capability across environments
• Drive release engineering practices that support rapid, frequent, low-risk shipping at scale

Security & Compliance Enablement

• Partner closely with SecOps and Security/Compliance functions to support MediaMint's SOC 2 compliance program
• Ensure infrastructure and access controls align with WorkOS SSO rollout and broader identity governance goals
• Champion security-by-default practices across the platform engineering org

Data Platform & Analytics Enablement

• Guide the Data function within your team to support agentic analytics initiatives across Mediamint Client
• Ensure data infrastructure is reliable, well-governed, and ready to power increasingly sophisticated agent behaviors

Required Qualifications: Must-Have Experience

• 8+ years of engineering experience, including meaningful time leading platform, infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps teams
• Direct people management experience, ideally leading teams of 8+ across multiple technical disciplines
• Deep AWS expertise, including cost optimization at scale across a multi-service, multi-account environment
• Proven ownership of CI/CD and release engineering in a fast-shipping, high-velocity engineering environment
• Experience building or maturing on-call and incident response practices
• Track record of partnering with security/compliance teams, ideally including SOC 2 or similar frameworks
• Strong executive communication skills comfortable reporting to and influencing a CTO on roadmap and tradeoffs

Preferred Experience:

• Experience scaling platform infrastructure for an AI or automation-heavy product
• Familiarity with SSO/identity platforms such as WorkOS or Okta
• Background supporting data platforms or analytics infrastructure
• Experience in a services-to-product transformation or high-growth SaaS environment
