Position Overview

The Workday Finance Functional Analyst is responsible for system configuration changes including worktag updates, posting rule changes, business process optimization, and ensuring data integrity across the Workday Finance platform. The ideal candidate is excited about Workday Finance products and new release offerings, curious about new and better ways of working, possesses sharp analytical skills, and is willing to partner across the organization to drive change.

Objectives and Responsibilities
  • Respond to JIRA requests and work to resolve tickets. Review and seek clarification from end users as needed. Test new functionality and document changes and approvals in the JIRA ticket.
  • Update reports as requested. Skilled in composite reports and calculated fields.
  • Design and optimize business processes, including unit testing, regression testing, and end‑to‑end testing of new functionality.
  • Be proficient in Workday Security access and understand segregation of duties principles.
  • Stay abreast of upcoming Workday offerings and release functionality. Manage the biannual release process and inform users of new functionality in their respective areas.
What You Will Bring
  • 3–6 years of Workday Financials experience, including experience in two or more of the following areas: Financial Accounting, Business Assets, Revenue Management/Contract to Cash, Procurement, Expenses, and Security.
  • Workday Pro Certification in one or more financial areas preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative work style.
  • Highly responsive to incoming tickets, organized, and ready to act on straightforward configuration items.
  • Experience leading biannual release efforts, including reviewing What’s New, engaging key stakeholders, and leading change management efforts.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
Education
  • BS/BA in Accounting/Finance, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
  • Workday Pro Certificate strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with finance integrations would be a strong plus.
