Gartner in Gurgaon is seeking a Senior ETL Data Warehouse Test Engineer to join our data and analytics team. You will validate enterprise ETL processes and BI reports, ensuring data accuracy and reliability across the data warehouse ecosystem.

You will design and execute test plans, work with data engineers and analysts, perform root cause analysis on data quality issues, and contribute to QA best practices in an AGILE-SCRUM environment.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in IT with specialization in Datawarehousing/ETL QA.
• 4+ years hands-on SQL and data querying for testing data.
• Strong understanding of Datawarehouse concepts including ETL, BI reports, and star/snowflake schemas.
• Proven experience in quality assurance in Enterprise Datawarehouse environments.
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality standards.
• Experience with ETL tools and query platforms: Informatica, Azure Data Factory, SSMS, TOAD.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

What you will do:

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for Enterprise Datawarehouse solutions.
• Conduct thorough testing of ETL and BI Reports to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and business rules. Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in data management processes.
• Perform root cause analysis on data quality issues and recommend corrective actions.

Who you are:

• 4-6 years of experience in Information Technology with specialization in Dawarehouse/ETL Quality Assurance.
• 4+ years of hands-on proficiency in SQL and data querying tools for comparing and testing data.
• Strong understanding of Datawarehouse concepts, including Extract Transform Load(ETL), Business Intelligence Reports, Dimension and Fact tables.
• Proven experience in quality assurance, specifically in Enterprise Datawarehouse environments.
• Strong understanding of data management principles, data governance, and data quality standards.
• Experience with ETL tools and Query platforms such as Informatica, Azure Data Factory, SSMS, TOAD
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
