Job summary

ABB in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Test Automation Engineer to drive automated testing across DCS/SCADA projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) with 60% or above; exposure to DCS/PLC/SCADA systems.
• 6+ years of experience in test automation, integration testing, Agile environments, and virtual platforms (VMware/Hyper-V/Azure).
• Advanced programming skills in Python, plus practical experience in Java, C#, PowerShell, and Groovy; familiarity with Robot Framework, Selenium, and Playwright.
• Experience with API/Interface testing (REST, FTP, TCP/IP, OPC-UA/DA) using tools like REST-Assured, Karate, Postman, Newman, ReadyAPI, and JMeter.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to project results by sourcing and executing innovative ideas for testing.
• Acts as the first contact in R&D for product-related issues and maintenance.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support product development and testing.
• Designs scalable automation frameworks (BDD/TDD/Hybrid) and supports CI/CD with Azure DevOps.
