Qualifications

• Minimum 10-12+ years of ERP experience with enterprise financials or ERP systems.
• 6+ years of dedicated hands-on NetSuite technical architecture or advanced development experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/SuiteScript (2.x preferred), SuiteCloud tools, and web services (JSON, XML, REST, SOAP).

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end enterprise blueprints detailing system topology, data flows, and security frameworks.
• Architect and review NetSuite configurations and customizations for performance and security.
• Define data migration strategies and archiving policies for legacy transitions.
• Develop SuiteScript solutions and SuiteFlow automations for cross-departmental operations.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior NetSuite Technical Architect to spearhead the engineering, technical strategy, and architectural governance of our NetSuite ERP environment. In this role, you will define end-to-end technical solutions, lead advanced development using the SuiteCloud platform, and orchestrate complex integrations with third-party systems. You will serve as the technical authority, guiding development teams and collaborating with senior stakeholders to build a scalable foundation for business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & System Design

• Design end-to-end enterprise blueprints detailing system topology, data flows, and security frameworks.
• Conduct technical design reviews for all complex NetSuite configurations and customizations.
• Enforce development standards and best practices for code performance, security, and release lifecycle management.
• Define data migration strategies and structural archiving policies for legacy system transitions.

Development & Customization

• Architect complex SuiteScript solutions (1.0 & 2.x/2.1) including User Event, Client, Scheduled, Map/Reduce, and Suitelets.
• Build and review SuiteFlow automations to optimize complex cross-departmental operations.
• Develop advanced frameworks for revenue recognition (ARM), inventory management, and financial reporting tools.

Integration & Data Management

• Design high-volume system connections using REST/SOAP APIs, SuiteTalk, and web services.
• Govern iPaaS infrastructure spanning modern middleware platforms such as Celigo, MuleSoft, Boomi, or Workato.
• Manage database schemas, custom record relationships, and efficient data-extraction tuning.

Performance & Governance

• Audit system performance regularly, targeting script bottlenecks, concurrency queues, and database search latency.
• Establish continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) workflows via SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF) and version control.
• Oversee environment sandboxes, bundle deployments, and bi-annual NetSuite major upgrade validation cycles.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Translate business requirement documents (FRDs) into comprehensive technical specifications.
• Mentor and guide offshore/onshore engineering teams through daily code reviews and technical hurdles.
• Advise C-level executives and the finance leadership team on architectural trade-offs and tech investments.

Technical Experience

• Professional ERP experience: Minimum 10-12+ years working heavily with enterprise financials or ERP systems.
• NetSuite expertise: Minimum 6+ years of dedicated hands‑on NetSuite technical architecture or advanced development experience.
• Programming mastery: Deep fluency in JavaScript, SuiteScript (2.x preferred), SuiteCloud tools, and regular web services (JSON, XML, REST, SOAP).
• Integration depth: Proven track record building custom enterprise integrations or managing mature middleware products (e.g., Celigo, Boomi).

Functional & Domain Knowledge

• Robust understanding of accounting and finance operations (GAAP, SOX, General Ledger, AP/AR, and billing processes).
• High familiarity with modern operational streams like Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P).

Soft Skills & Leadership

• Exceptional communication skills to translate complex coding paradigms into universal, business-friendly terminology.
• Strong experience navigating multi-stakeholder corporate priorities independently.
